We were so excited about staying at this quaint hotel with it's antique decor. While the rooms looked charming, they smelled pretty musty - didn't really think about the fact that antiques can smell a bit. In the morning, I had abut one minute of warm water in the shower and then it went cold and stayed cold! Ugh. A...

We spent only one night here, but we certainly will return. Great little rooms with everything you need. Newer bathroom with clawfoot tub/shower - loved this! Corner room with lots of light and views of theTown Square. Perfect location. We walked everywhere and the hotel staff was most helpful and so friendly! Best coffee I ever had in the a.m....

Don't know what everyone was griping about? We LOVED our stay here! We had three rooms for three couples and no complaints by anyone! We had the AC cranking that led to great sleeping! The rooms were clean and the bed was COMFY! The staff was friendly and helpful. Wine in the lobby and delicious pastries, who could go wrong?...

Read all the reviews before I chose to stay there. This place is an old hotel with all the charm and character of a hotel that was built in the late 1800's. The location is ideal. If you are a Hilton/Hyatt type and are looking for the same accomodations and will disapointed with nothing less, DON'T BOOK here. If you...

This hotel is cramped, old, musty and worst of all you can here everything through the walls and ceiling of the other quests. People walking around on the floor above you travels directly into the rooms below. The staff is strange and unfriendly. I would HIGHLY suggest staying elsewhere. This place is overrated and extremely overpriced. The only reason I...

So you've read the reviews and can't quite work out what's going on? Here is my take: it's all about what you expect. If you want to fantastic location in the heart of Sonoma (which is bursting with restaurants and with tasting rooms, so you can leave the car at home), with a good standard of comfort, at a reasonable...

Small hotel with lots of character right on Sonoma Square. Excellent restaurant, The Girl and the Fig, right next door. Room was small, yet comfortable.

While I found the town of Sonoma to be charming, the Sonoma Hotel was a big disappointment. First off, the hotel is located directly on the town plaza, which I originally thought would be a positive thing, but turned out to mean that we did not sleep very well due to all the street noise. The morning reception staff was...

The hotel is in a great location and I loved the way the hotel and rooms were decorated. Although my hubby was annoyed, I actually liked the fact that they hotel did not have a huge TV in every room and that it was decorated more like a B&B than a hotel. It is very escapist and relaxing. That being...

This hotel was very nice and clean, comfortable beds, clean rooms, nice lobby. The staff made this hotel extremely uncomfortable to stay in. They did not greet you at all and almost seemed to have a rude, uppity attitude as if you were inconvenienceing them. I have stayed in Sonoma before and never had this kind of experience. I would...
