Travelled with another couple for 1 night. Beautiful garden and pool. Loved the atmosphere of the place. Nice rooms but honestly spent most of my time in the pool area. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Travelled into downtown Sonoma for supper at Murphys Pub. Good food and live music.

Stayed four nights visiting family and this was an excellent choice. This is an older, motel style place of about 50 rooms but well maintained. The rooms were good sized and very clean. Our room had a great king size bed, two full size chairs, and a couch that was a sleeper sofa if needed. All were very comfortable. The grounds are well maintained with an abundance of flowers which make it feel much nicer that many places of this type. Breakfast is included which consisted of pastries, cereal, a quiche and fruit. These were all of a good quality plus the coffee was excellent. Location is close to the main square but not too close to avoid the noise and crowds. One Hint. I did not notice if there was an elevator to the second floor so if you have an issue with stairs check with the hotel or request a room on ground level.
All in all a great choice and will be our place to stay next time we visit.

This Inn turned out to be much better than expected. I say this because in some of the pictures of the outside it looks very plain. However, don't let that deter you from staying here. The rooms are updated, roomy and very comfortable. The bathroom is also a good size. Even tough it is near a busy corner, the rooms are very quiet. I am a light sleeper and I did not hear any noise at night Rooms have a balcony or terrace facing a cozy and very well maintained garden in the middle of the building. Although we did not go in the pool, we sat by the pool at night to enjoy some of end of the day relaxation. Breakfast was very good with good choices. You won't go hungry. You can sit inside to eat your breakfast, or if the weather is good, you can take you breakfast to one of the several outdoor tables. Staff at the lobby was pleasant and helpful with several suggestions for visiting wineries and restaurants in town. The town of Sonoma is about a mile away. You can walk it if the weather is good and you are up to the walk. We chose to drive since we were tired. The drive was quick and there was plenty of parking in the central plaza. The town of Sonoma is small and quaint. I definitely would stay here again.

I traveled with a friend for a two-night stay. You can spend a lot of money on a hotel in this area, but several recommendations lead us to El Pueblo Inn. It was a delight! We don't need fufu, but this property had exactly what we needed and more. The rooms are nice with beds on the softer side (my preference), a mini-refrigerator and a large bathroom. The landscaping is quite pretty and the pool/spa area (open 24/7!) was terrific. They have quiet hours and are serious about enforcing it (thank you!). Breakfast was continental with a few nice added extras to make it more than a carbo load. Free and easy parking, nice staff. Try these local places that have more basic food: La Hacienda (great carnitas and service!), Hop Monk (slightly fancier on the food, but not overly fufu; great service) and Basque Boulangerie Cafe (on the plaza; delicious baked goods and basic breakfast and lunch offerings).

What a nice place! This is an older hotel, but not the least bit tired. It has been kept up and is impeccable: wonderful courtyard and landscaping, very clean rooms, and the best continental breakfast I've had. I don't eat the breakfast offered at places like Fairfield Inn, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, etc. This has a really nice one with fresh squeezed orange juice, GOOD coffee from a local roaster, fresh berries. And you can eat outside with the great landscaping.
The rooms are oversized and there are four places you can read! real chairs and lamps. Bedside stands with lamp[s. Can you believe someone cares about where you site and how you can read in a hotel room? The furnishings are not fancy but tasteful. The people are great. And it is only a mile from the Plaza.
This place is clearly owned by a local family/group who are proud to offer great accommodations at a modest price. They don't try to compete with the local resorts all costing at least $200/night more. They just do a great job in their own niche. What a find. Highly recommended.

Pros: Great location, cute room with some architectural charm (exposed brick, old beams, etc), beautiful courtyard, nice complimentary breakfast.
Major Cons:
1. The Wifi was AWFUL. It barely even worked. It took forever to load a page, and often kicked us out. Emails stalled and didn't deliver until we were back in town during the day.
2. The walls are paper thin. We could hear the guy next door coughing as if he were sitting right in our own room.
3. One night the people in the room next door were extremely loud. We couldn't sleep. I called the front desk and nobody answered. I walked over to talk to the staff in person, and the front door was locked. A sign said, "Attendant on Duty, Please Ring Bell". I rang and rang, but nobody ever answered. So we were kept awake all night listening to the people in the next room, who were drunk, laughing and talking very loudly. When I talked to the front desk attendant the next morning, she gave us a $20 "Noisy Neighbor" discount, which seems inadequate for losing an entire night of sleep because the night staff weren't available when they should have been.

This place is very quaint and rustic. Very pretty lobby, cozy, and has free Hershey’s candy and water. Parking is free. The rooms have a brick wall, beam in ceiling and are really cozy. It was clean. There is a free breakfast of coffee, muffins, cereal, quiche, hard boiled eggs. Its about a mile from the plaza. No complaints about this place.

We stayed at this Inn for two nights, end of March 2022. The hotel is situated about a mile from downtown Sonoma. The side walks allow for a leisurely walk.
We had a room with two decent size beds. The room was spacious with both a heating and an air conditioning system. The bathroom is good size with a decent shower area. The room also came with an electronic safe.
Breakfast was included and consisted of bakery, cereals fruits etc. We did not use the facility.
Our biggest complaint was the bed’s softness (that gave me a backache) and the unavailability of internet service. We did inform the front desk, several times, but no action was taken. To make matters worse our mobile service (TMobile) was practically non existent in the room and adjoining area. This made the situation really difficult (especially these days when usage of internet is such a big part of our lives).
Unless the management is able to address the internet/mobile issues, my recommendation would be to look for an alternate accommodation.

My husband I spent 3 nights here on our trip to Sonoma. We had a garden view room with a quiet patio. The room was large and comfortable. Bathroom and room were very clean. The lobby has a cozy area for cool mornings to sit in front of fireplace and enjoy delicious complementary coffee. The hotel provides an excellent complementary breakfast every morning, more than just a run of the mill free breakfast.
We did also get lucky enough to enjoy the pool and hot tub on our stay. Hotel is about 1 mile from the town square and could be walked. We will definitely return on our next trip!
