This Inn was very nice a while back but looked to be well used today. It was clean and neat but could have used a bit of care to really spruce it up. The location is good, about 2 miles to the center plaza.
Found this hotel on line and was pleasently surprised. There are a few restaurants near by but downtown Sonoma is a number of blocks away. The rooms were small but comfortable and clean with free wifi. Boyes Blvd which is right behind the hotel felt like a racetrack at night which was loud at times but died down usualy by 10pm. This is a no frills hotel so if you want all the fluff and buff you need to book elsewher but if you want a nice small hotel with a comfortable bed and a clean room this is your place. There wasn't a chest of drawers in our room but there might be in others for we just had a small closet. There was a tv and as I said free wifi. There are two rooms on the second level so if you have trouble climbing stairs you will want to pick a downstairs room since there isn't a elevator.…
We loved our recent three night stay at the Sonoma Creek Inn. Checking in online was a breeze, and when we got there Tawny at the front desk had all kinds of suggestions for things to do, and we did them all! Goat Rock, Armstrong Redwoods, Bodega Bay for lunch, old town walking around ... lovely time. The room was clean, bed was comfy. We got the King Patio. We had breakfast at the on property cafe and the food was really good, friendly locals love it too. A hidden gem.
Small motel in the Boyes Creek area of Sonoma. Quiet location about a block off the main road. Very clean room with Queen bed and bathtub/shower. Nicely decorated. Did not experience noise from other rooms. Heater was a bit too good and needed to be set much lower than our desired temperature. No microwave in room. Did have coffee Keurig and refrigerator. Parking lot and corridor lights were not turned on so very dark outside at night. Office person a bit unengaging. Great location. We will return.
Whenever I book a room anywhere I read ALL of the reviews I can find on different sites. These were all over the board making me a little skeptical. I’m glad we went with our gut. It was perfect! Not a fancy hotel but they have everything and the staff is sensational. Tawny helped us pre-arrival and helped us plan our visit. Ruth was wonderful when we checked in and I enjoyed hearing about the history of the inn. The rooms showcase vintage decor! They are clean, newer inside, comfortable mattress. The exterior doesn’t do the inn justice! Lots of restaurants, coffee shops nearby. I would go back! If you’re looking for a mom and pop inn with not a lot frills, great rates, this is it. The price couldn’t be beat and the service was 5-star! Thank you Ruth and Tawny! We’ll see you next time!…
The area seemed a bit out of the way but we found that the Sonoma Creek inn was a small hidden gem. We had an outside patio where we ate our take out meals. The staff was helpful and accommodating to our needs. The room had everything we needed and it was so quiet at night. The only disadvantage was that there were not many restaurants close by during this pandemic. We did find a place nearby that we walked to for dinner. Weather was in the high 90’s so walking around could be difficult.
I picked this place due to it being cheaper than the other motels/hotels in the area plus the pictures made it look like a cozy little inn. Upon pulling into the parking lot, I was a bit disappointed when we saw the Sonoma Creek Inn - this is more of a 2 star motel than an "inn". I called ahead because I knew we would be later than the 8 pm check in and they were nice enough to leave the keys for us. Location wasn't far from the center of town but it is in the middle of a residential area which seemed a little sketchy. Room to me was a throwback to the 60s - cute vintage travel pictures on the walls but nothing outstanding otherwise. Small room but clean. Fridge was in the bathroom. Overall i expected a little more - would stay elsewhere if ever back in the area.
I love this place for its charm, hospitality, location, outstanding customer service and affordability. The inn is made to look like a 40's motor inn, super cute, well themed and of course clean and comfortable. Sonoma Highway and Arnold Drive are easy access. The price cannot be beat. Ruth at the front desk took the time to tell me a lot about Sonoma history that was super interesting. After we checked out, I got a text letting me know that we had left a charger in the room. We thought they were mistaken, so we ignored the text. A week later they sent an email. When I called to say we didn't think it was ours, she described it to me and sure enough, they were right. They contacted us not once, but twice and then shipped it to us! That's great customer service! I love The Sonoma Creek Inn!…
We loved staying at this lovely little Inn. We had a little patio with a water feature and mosiac wall. We would LOVE to give this place a 10/10, because the value is there, it is clean and thoughtful, but. The.Bed. The bed was SO bad. The linens on the bed were worn- and the fact that the bed was so terrible when everything else was so great was a real let down. Because of the bed, we have to take 3 points off. 7/10 Having said that, it was lovely, the staff was great, the location was good and we love supporting smaller businesses. It was a win all the way around, but the bed really messed us up for days.
I had a 2 night stay in January during my visit to Sonoma. Initially it was the price that got me hooked, but I'm glad to say that it's actually a nice place to stay. Sure it's a bit quirky with it's design, but it's a nice change from the typical chain hotels. And just to be clear, quirky is good in this case. The rooms are clean and personally I think big enough. No, there's no pool, workout room or anything, but you're in wine country. Go out and explore the wineries! In any case, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend them to others as well. The only thing to keep in mind is that you'll either need to drive, uber or taxi into Sonoma Square (which is where the wineries are) as it's a bit of a hike to walk to. Supposedly there is a bus that stops near by, but no one seemed to know the hours it ran! The TV is located in the dresser. I didn't realize this until after. Also bonus tip: If you're staying on the top floor and you're a light sleeper, bring some ear plugs because of the traffic. Personally I didn't find it that bad, but just a heads up for those that are.…
