Perfect location. Wonderful bed and sheets. Clean and relaxing. Would absolutely stay here again. The Spa was phenomenal - Stephanie was superb! Breakfast pastries were a nice touch. As is the fire in the courtyard. Nice staff too. We walked up the hill (two trails at 0.3 and 0.7 miles away) - great views. And loved the easy walk to the square. 100% recommend this place! (Only suggestion would be to add a small tv - we were in acacia and we’d say put it on a swing arm above the fireplace - would have been perfect viewing from tub, couch or bed. I know the place is supposed to be set up for less media, but missing the weather reports for flights etc or sports events made us open our phone instead… would have rather had just the tv on if that makes sense) About Sonoma: We spent a day driving the country to vineyards (healdsburg area) but we were surprised to find that our favorite day was staying right in town at the plaza. Tip: even in off season you need reservations for vineyards. We didn’t make them and were turned away from most… even though they were not busy. The plaza is a “park” or “square”, and is surrounded with wonderful shops, restaurants, bars, and tasting rooms. We tasted wondeful cabs at Kamen and good Pinot Noir’s at Fulcrom. Both experiences were great and highly recommend both tasting venues. There are probably 10 more right in the square, all showcasing local wine’s. Each tasting was 25$-35$ for 3-5 different wines. Easier than driving all over! The stay at Cottage Inn and Spa set us up well for all of it. Thanks Cottage Inn!…
Sonoma’s central plaza area is a major draw and the Cottage Inn is beautifully situated a comfortable walk from the central square. I think there about 9-10 rooms at the Cottage Inn arranged in a private complex - I imagine each room is different. Ours was very nice - situated off a little central square with a fountain outside. A nice touch was fresh pastries and croissants delivered every morning. As expected the Cottage Inn was tranquil, relaxing, and quiet. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Walking to many attractions around Sonoma, we would stay again at Cottage Inn on our next Sonoma visit
I stayed at a sister spa so cannot comment on rooms. The decor was beautiful, kind of a Greek feel, blue and white. I had a massage with Stephanie that is one of the best I've ever had. I felt that I was thousands of miles from any sorrows or worries, very peaceful.
Surprisingly unique and quaint little hotel. We loved it. We stayed in the Arroyo Suite and the room is spacious and well designed. It was nice having the little kitchenette and they bring you pastries from the local coffee shop each morning. Our room had a cute little private patio that we enjoyed relaxing on while having our morning coffee and pastries. It’s well located a block from Sonoma square so we could easily walk to restaurants and tasting rooms. We would definitely stay again and hope to try out the spa in the future, as we heard good things from a few different people during our stay.
We totally fell in love with the hotel! So nice and small with only 8 very nicely appointed rooms. We had The Mission Suite and loved it. It had a lovely sitting area and a well stocked kitchen with 2 really nice outdoor seating areas and was a great size.
Enjoyed spending two nights here. Location is ideal - quiet, one block to downtown and a short walk the other way to bike paths and trailheads. Property was clean with lovely outdoor seating and water sculptures. Room was nice but with some flaws like half the jets in the jacuzzi didn't work, no control for ceiling fan speed, fake fireplace, and A/C that was hard to figure out and staff couldn't help. Staff was generally great and agreed to hold our luggage for a few hours after checkout but was then away doing errands when we needed the luggage. Morning pastries were a nice touch but at least for us, not a good breakfast and too filling to be followed by a good breakfast. Place was a bit pricy for what we got, but still very good.
Excellent hotel/inn. Stayed 2 nights and the facility and room was spotless. The front desk staff, (especially Herlinda), were the nicest people and very helpful. Had a couples massage and Stephanie and Christopher were awesome
We stayed for 2 nights but wouldn't hesitate to stay longer. Loved the 'cottage' concept with private courtyards and super comfortable rooms. Felt relaxed and idyllic and yet just a very short walk away from all that Sonoma offers in restaurants and shops. The reception and housekeeping team clearly care about their guests and we loved it!
Wonderful 5 night stay in very large beautiful room with a private terrace, kitchen and whirlpool tub one block from Sonoma square and many fine restaurants and wine tasting venues. Very helpful staff and delicious pastries brought each morning to your room breakfast. Highly recommended
My mom and I stayed here last July and couldn't have been more happy! Everyone we came in contact with was extremely friendly, the room was clean, the pastries every morning on our door was the perfect touch as well. Walking distance to an area with cute shops and every morning we would walk to a Cafe there for breakfast. We decided to stay here because of all the great reviews I had read and I was not disappointed. I would recommend this place over and over!
