First of all I'm going to point out the positives! Beautiful view of lower Sharbot Lake, abundant sounds of loons. Close to amenities. Wifi, acceptable linens and 2 ply toilet paper!!!! But.... The 1 inch bug in the tub which looked like it hadn't been cleaned or refinished in years was not appealing! The mold around the tub and dirt...

Our party of 4 were lucky enough to get tickets to see Newfoundland's Ennis Sisters performing at the Crossing Pub. This was a memorable experience. Their angelic voices are truly remarkable. The Inn and Pub are able to attract top level entertainment for a crowd of about 70 people. The Dinner/Entertainment nights are usually sold-out so get tickets early. The...

We had a great family dinner at the Crossing Pub. Food is very good for a small town pub. Excellent fish & chips and homemade fish cakes. Service is also friendly, and the beer on tap cold. Great alternative to arriving at the cottage and having to cook a meal!

We stayed here on the week-end with a bunch of friends to go to a wedding. The room was average, but it had a beautiful deck with a view of the lake. All the balconies are joined, with one long deck extending the length of the building. We had booked all the rooms with our group, so it worked out...

We stopped here on the recommendation of a staff member at the local LCBO store. He was not wrong. It was a suitable motel, what we were looking for. Reasonably priced. The room was clean, and neat. The staff at the bar (attached to the hotel) were very friendly. They were just closing up the kitchen, but offered to make...

This inn takes advantage of the fact that there are not many, if any, other options in Sharbot Lake. The "front desk" is in a pub. My first room had garbage in it and hairs on the bathtub. There was no coffee maker and no other options in the pub as they don't open until 11 a.m. I found staples...

Every year, I got to an event near Sharbot Lake, and every year, I leave booking accommodations until it is far too late. This year, I booked at the Sharbot Lake Country Inn. It is, like everyone says, an older motel that is being updated. Big rooms, and nothing wrong about it. Nothing much right about it either, but it's...

Older motel that is slowly being updated. The rooms are very large but could have been cleaner and prepared better for a guest. It is ok for a night but I would not stay any longer. The food was amazing in the restaurant and the staff was very friendly

Had lunch on the patio. Shrimp salad and a burger. Both absolutely delicious. Not a standard burger...the cross bun was lightly crisped, the burger-juicy...everything clearly homemade. Lovely patio and lovely service. We started planning our next visit there again in a few weeks even though its a 3 hour drive! Well worth it.

We stayed here for four nights and, while it was clean and did the job, the owners/managers really need to spend some money on this place. The first room had a king sized bed, a desk, two chairs and very little else. The towels were threadbare and the bathroom made me cringe. It was as clean as could be but...

“Ask for a room with a view of the lake and make sure that your room doesn't have an adjoining door - it lets ALL of the noise from the other room into your room.”
 of 5 bubbles BonnieG554, 10 Jul 2013 | Read review
“Next time I will request the room on the end of the motel strip; not that is was noisy but this would mean no chance of neighbours on one side and slightly closer to parking for carrying bags. If noise from the on-site wood-fired heating system will bother you, bring ear plugs. There is a refrigerator and microwave in the room. You'll want snacks and drinks for on the deck!”
  • The rooms are huge and comfortable - relaxed and feel like a motel and cabin combined.
  • Daytime view from room.
  • Sunrise taken from bed.
