My husband and I stayed there one night while traveling tonward SF. When we pulled up we were a little under whelmed, but don't judge a book by its cover. It's simple exterior exceeded our expectations. The staff was so friendly, helpful, kind! The room was simple, but bed super comfy. The place is newly established, so it's clean, and...

Good service, great location, clean rooms and good recommendations for the area. They've done a very good job with the renovation, breakfast was good, late night beer/wine was a nice touch and fire pits are great.

Brand newly remodeled hotel, with interesting decor. Very clean, comfortable and functional. No street noise either, which was an added plus. My only complaint is that it did not have a refrigerator. It didn't have a coffee maker either, but there was excellent coffee and tea in the lobby, along with comfy chairs and beautiful fireplace. They had outside fire...

Nice people, nice room with a very comfortable bed. Fire pits to hang out by in the cool evening. There is wine and beer available in the evening. Everyone is very nice there!!! It would be nice to have some yogurt with the breakfast.

The Basecamp is such a fun boutique hotel. Its got amazing decor and style. Customer service is always wonderful and they are quick to help you out with anything you need. We brought our dogs on this last visit and all of the staff greeted our little pups with lots of love. This is the only place we would stay...

The place was recommended to me by another hotel as I absolutely need good wifi. But not just wifi is state-of-the art but also interior design (altough my room was relatively dark). Great location next to the lake, marina and good restaurants. Staff was very attentive, top service and great breakfast, but also micro brews in the evening.

While the deck and the room were great - the landscaping around the area could use some fixing but didn't deter from my experience at all. I loved the hiking theme and thought the room design was thought out well

We had a great time exploring Tahoe from Basecamp. The room was clean, with a fun vibe. We especially enjoyed the roasting marshmallows for s'mores at night by the fire pit! Basecamp was close to everything--the beach, hiking the Rim Trail, and all the restaurants of Tahoe City. The waffles at breakfast were so good!

I really enjoyed the breakfast that was provided for all guests. I would suggest adding some fruit to the breakfast, such as bananas and/or oranges to balance it out. I felt that the property was well kept and in a great location!
