This inn is so cute and cozy! Rooms were very clean, check in and out process super easy. Location is perfect, right across the street from lake and plenty of things to do within walking distance. Bed, linens and pillows were very comfortable, looking to buy a comforter like theirs for myself 🤣. The shower actually had water pressure!! I cannot say enough good things about this place, after staying in several "budget friendly" motels on our trip it was nice to stay at a place that was actually comfortable!! If you are in the area, stay here!

Stayed at this gem for 4 nights over Memorial Day weekend and was absolutely impressed with the room’s coziness and charm, its perfectly central location to the lake and all attractions including restaurants and shops. Our room was well appointed and spotless. The hotel proprietors were terrific: attentive, communicative and accommodating. Excellent stay and zero complaints! We look forward to returning in the winter. *HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*

Wife and I stayed here for a wedding on the Tahoe Gal and will definitely be coming back! The place was sparkling clean and so very well decorated and equipped. The bed was incredibly comfortable and and water was hot with good pressure ....even on the second floor! Spoke with Frank (Frank and Sarah are the owners) the morning of our arrival and he instructed us on our super easy check in. The room has a fan and a small window a/c unit that kept the room very comfortable. We are still in the room as I write this review and are very happy and comfortable!.....can’t wait to come back and we haven’t even left yet!

Very comfortable room in converted office building? Location and decor get 5 stars for sure. Very close to the lake and so many shops and restaurants. Tahoe City is a wonderful place! I know a lot of thought went into the decor of these cute rooms. However, the condition of the shower was unacceptable. (Rm 8 if the owners read this) Missing caulking, mold, and spongey floor. The owners sent more than several reminders telling me that anything less than 5 stars is a bad review. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and this could have easily been a 5 star experience if not for small details... like a personalized greeting on the chalkboard, as other guests mentioned in their reviews. As the owners said, they are "highly experienced hospitality hosts," so perhaps the small detail of a personalized welcome, a more discerning eye in the bathroom, noticing the shower needs attention, or noticing a previous guest left a razor cover on the shelf, which was very off putting. Direct feedback during my stay would not have remedied these problems so I didn't say anything at the time. To end on a more positive note, communication and the self check in process was excellent. I am a big fan of instructions and details which their emails were full of. Unfortunately the above mentioned details just didn't make for a 5 star experience for me. I loved the location and vibe and would stay again in the future in the hopes of a 5 star experience.

Our only regret was that we could only stay one night. This is not a new hotel, but it is spotlessly clean, and the decor is absolutely perfect if you like rustic charm. The owners thought of every detail and anticipated any need you might have. The secure, contactless checkout was convenient and easy. The communication was so complete that the cute sign inside the room welcomed us by name. If you like convenient location, good food nearby, and welcoming albeit contactless hospitality, this place cannot be beat.

The big things I look for in a room are location, bed comfort, and cleanliness. Mother's Nature hit all three. The beds were very comfortable. Our room, #10, had a few seating and desk options and yet didn't feel crowded. The Wifi was great and there were a lot of electric outlets. Even on vacation, we sometimes need these things. There was a book/game loaning area and the hosts left some local restaurant recommendations, which are always helpful. Our room had no tub - shower only, but it was sufficiently roomy. The location was great! It is just barely off the beaten path which allowed for excellent access to walking paths, the lake, and local businesses, yet we were in a quiet area.

Perfect location and cabin like decor + the price can't be beat! They accept dogs too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Inn. Easy check-in, great amenities, clean, in the heart of Tahoe City. Rosie's Restaurant just steps away with great breakfasts and lunches. The lake is across the street, with incredible views and in the summer you would have access to the beach. We walked along the cleared, lakeshore's boardwalk with the new snow guiding our way. Everything you need within walking distance: grocery, pharmacy, coffee shops, ski and kayak rentals, bagels, restaurants, and retail therapy. We can't wait to go back in the summer with our dog!

This was our first stop of the July heat wave and the cooler Tahoe weather in the evening was perfect! Our upstairs room was clean and quiet with fun decorations. A great location. Close to shops and restaurants and just across the street from the lake.

I scheduled my trip to Tahoe the day before I left, literally. As I was going for 9 days no place had an opening for all nine days, except here. When I called to make the reservation they wanted payment up front. Another red flag. It was reasonably priced, third red flag. I made the reservation and paid up front regardless of what my intuition told me.

I'm glad I did.

This place is great. It's not brand new (nothing in the Tahoe area is tho) but its super comfortable, well cared for, clean and the bed! I had a king and it was a dream to sleep on. Also they decorate all the rooms with all the little knick-knacks they sell. It's a little thing but it makes it super homey. Heck they even folded the clothes I left out! Staying here is like staying in that spare bedroom mom and dad have above the garage. It's homey, it's comfortable and the people are nice.

Finally I came here to ski but the weather has climbed into the 50's. They graciously refunded the last two nights so I can go to Yosemite. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and most probably will.

We went up to Tahoe for just one night to celebrate a birthday. We were looking for something inexpensive and available (on short notice) and had originally planned on bringing our small dog. We found Mother Nature's Inn, which is pet friendly and affordable. I had no idea what to expect, but I must say we were pleasantly surprised. It's a very small place tucked behind a small (but very cute) giftshop right in the heart of Tahoe City. The room was immaculately clean, even given the fact that it was a "pet friendly" room and nicely decorated. The bathroom even came stocked with toothpaste and a razor...more than the typical shampoo, conditioner & body lotion. The room also had a small refrigerator that kept our drinks ice cold! This is a small place - no restaurant on site, but just next door is a great place for breakfast - Rosie's Cafe. And the very best thing was the public beach across the street. Commons beach has a very shallow, gradual entry into the beautiful waters of Lake Tahoe. It has a sandy area and a grassy area, nice restrooms, and a nice playground just behind the beach for the kids. They were setting up for a free evening concert on the beach the day we went. This is definitely a place I could return to. The only small drawback was the the bed was very firm. Some people prefer this, but I usually like my bed a bit softer. All in all a great value and a gem of a place to stay right near the lake!

PS - We went in the summer, but if you are planning a winter trip, this place is just a hop, skip and a jump from Squaw Valley.

Phone number that I have: 530-581-4278. The room we had did have a small refrigerator and coffee pot. I believe it cost about $140 or so for 2 people and 2 dogs per night, but call to be sure. I don't remember the check in/check out times, but if no one is there, they put your key in an envelope and your name on it and tack it to the bulletin board. Very relaxed. I guess it will be several hours from Fallon. We came in from Castro Valley, California!

At this time we do not participate in any J-1 visa programs. There are several places in the Lake Tahoe basin that do. Most of the ski resorts and raft companies all look for short term J-1 employees.

"We are senior citizens with 2 large dogs and 1 medium sized dog, so the downstairs rooms were best for us. And just as an aside, the front shop is run by the owners of the motel and has lots of very nice art work, furnishings and bric-a-brac for sale. We bought 2 paintings and a statue while there."
