Three of us stayed for several nights in room 139, the room featured on their website. In an area full of tired old motels, they are clearly focussed on raising the standard. Also very much of note was the desire to serve the guests of Ashley and her team. Far above the typical standard of motel style accommodations. Very happy...

My review is colored by the fact that we booked an upstairs room with a lakeview but were given a downstairs room with peeak-a-boo views of the lake. This was in the Squirrel building at the very back of the property. Also, the website states there is beach access across the street; however, a new owner at that property states...

...that can be beyond management's control. It's how they respond that tells you what you might expect if you encounter an issue on property. Case in point - on the second evening of our stay, we discovered that there was no longer running water in our bathroom! Unfortunately, our call to the office (bring your cellphone as there are no...

We stayed in room 124 for two nights... BAD.. Bed was bad, floor was dirty, air conditioning was a box fan.. which is ok if there would have been a place other than the bathroom to plug it in (good thing I had an extension cord in my laptop bag!!! Chair was falling apart to the point we could not...

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. The entry door locks and it's unfortunate that you hesitated to ask for assistance, as staff would have been eager to help. Although this unit is still in need of a new TV (on the to do list) - it has since been extensively renovated. From a beautiful rustic lodge...

I stayed in room 123, a dog friendly room. The room was dark, depressing and in need of a serious makeover, which I could have done on about $200 and one trip to HomeGoods or a little time on Craigslist. The old brass headboard was bolted to the wall. Seriously? The shower was moldy and had only a flimsy old...

Dear Guest, Thank you for acknowledging the location and staff in your detailed feedback. The variation in accommodations available is to meet the demands of the ever expanding demographic of travelers, from families on a budget to pet owners. Unfortunately one cannot expect a deluxe accommodation with a low cost standard price tag for a pet friendly unit. The existing...

Reasonably priced lodging if you consider that you have very thoughtful and useful loaners available. One kayak, six "cruiser style" bikes, large beach towels and many beach chairs of high quality and design. All the staff were good to us, and know the area very well and can meet your needs. You are 400' from an expansive beach area, walking...

If you're looking for a place to stay in Tahoe that is cute, clean and semi-rustic, this is it. We enjoyed our 3 night stay and would highly recommend this place. It's right across the street from a nice beach on the lake, and they have a kayak and bikes you can borrow. The inn is older, but well maintained....

This was the best priced place I could find. It is right across from the lake, a quick walk to a cute ice cream place. They are super nice at check in/out. They offer fun freebees like bikes and kayaks. You have to give props to their maid service because our room was spotless!! They are remodeling and the new...

I was in town for business and Ashley put me in a wonderful room in Squirrel Lodge at the back of the property with a nice view of the lake. Charming, comfortable, affordable, great location, wonderful staff... I'll definitely be back!

We arrived Thursday and had almost the entire place to ourselves - a lovely, beautifully decorated cabin-style king-sized bed with mini fridge, tv and microwave. Everything was clean, the place was 2 min walk to the water, and nestled back in the trees at the same time. The staff was friendly and amenable. The only downside was the pool and...
