My GPS sent me here and I'm glad it did. Upon arriving at the motel the owner came outside to greet me. After brief introductions I filled out the forms. Everything was very casual. I got a key but was assured that it would not be required. It's the kind of place where she doesn't lock everything up tight. She is also a guide for hunters and fishers. She has a (springer ?) spaniel, whose name is Drake, who is trained as a retriever for the duck hunting season. The room was not large but very well maintained. She is doing some renovations / up-grades. As the motel is off the main highway it was very quiet. There is no restaurant in the immediate area but the one that is available is great fun with all the locals. They sell home-made breads. A great little motel with a casual, relaxed atmosphere.

After so many hours of driving around in the Maritimes, just looking for a place to sleep. Upon arriving, here we are before our suite and a view of the Lake from our suite! WoW! A pool ..a spa...a véranda with long chairs in the front yard and a Trail to the Lake in the backyard! Totally insane as a motel ! The premises are very clean upon arrival! Our suite is a Great size... a king size bed with TV...a modern bathroom and shower...sleeping accomodations in the dining room with a huge TV ...and kitchenette! Définitely recommended for a romantic getaway with nature!very welcoming at the office counter!

Nice cozy place, very quiet. Great staff and excellent service. Owner said it's under under new management.

Rooms were fully equipped. Nice warm coffee on cold day and looking at beautiful view out of the window was just perfect.

Would definitely revisit

We spent one night at the Jemseg Lakeview Motel on our way from Quebec City to Cape Breton. There was nothing at this exit but this motel. Our room at the motel was in the $80 range and over priced for what you got. The small room was crammed with a double bed and a single bed, a table with a coffee maker with no filters, a mini frig, a window air conditioner and a very small bathroom. In the middle of the night we discovered we had no water in the bathroom so the toilet wouldn't flush and no water from the sink. No shower in the morning until the management had to manually turn it back on. Took a shower in a cheap plastic shower stall and then the toilet wouldn't flush again. I would not go back.

This quaint motel has a million dollar view and sits above the Jemseg River. The Owner/ Operator Kathy goes that extra mile to make your stay a pleasant one. She is also a Outfitter with experienced qualified licences guides for the Spring and Fall Hunting opportunities for those avid outdoors people. Alongside that she also gas on hand nature trails for Quad Adventurers as well as Tree Stands for those who love to take photos of the varied and diversified wildlife this area of New Brunswick has to offer. There are docks available for those who love being out on the water with very easy access to Grand Lake. Fishing and swimming all within 5 min walk.

Myself and my husband stayed at the motel itself, NOT the cottage, so I don't no if there is a difference. I called and booked a queen size bed however when we arrived we were given a room with twin beds, when asked about the mistake we were bumped off with "no I said I only had a twin room left" so we took our twin room. The room came with a coffee perculator, fridge day bed with no extra bedding, a broken blind in the main sleeping area that is at the front of the building. A chest of draws with missing handles and a shower which had a make shift bread board to hold the screwed on plastic pipes. The only light source in the room, a lamp, made it absolutely impossible to be able to see anything constructive after dark ie: reading or putting make-up on. Although the beds were a little on the hard side they really were quite comfotable which would have gave for a restful night if the room wasn't filled with flies that after speaking to everyone the next morning confirmed that they too couldn't sleep well due to the flies constantly landing on them throughout the night. All in all this MOTEL would be better known as a camp with running water.
On a lighter note 'Turners One Stop' located behind the camp does an awesome breakfast.

Affordable rates and are clean and comfy.

Touring Canada we booked this based on location and can honestly say it was the worst of 11 hotels we used. Had we known we would have stayed another night in our (slightly better) Fredericton hotel. Can walk down to lake past a building site (which now obscured view from the motel). Bathroom (a cupboard) had "interesting" plumbing.
If I was staying here 40years ago I might have given a better review.
Should have hired an RV instead for this location.

We do have a great location and hope you enjoyed your tour of Canada. There has been many upgrades since your stay and we appreciate your feedback. The “building site” you referred to is actually part of our property and offers 4 new river side King suites, a pool and a screened gazebo with seating and a BBQ for all guests to enjoy. We have also cleared some trees this summer making the river viewable from 8 out of 11 rooms/suites. The motel rooms are being renovated this fall and your feedback helps ensure we meet or exceed our guest’s expectations.

Great place . Friendly staff. Spent many years as child in the Jemseg and Cambridge- Narrows area. Room was clean and very comfortable. After a long drive to get here ,the bed was so comfortable. Will keep coming back to this motel every time I'm in town. Next time I'm bringing my fishing gear.

As an experienced traveller, I have found many small motels to be more attractive and worthwhile than the chain hotels. I chose this motel based on Tripadvisor reviews and was disappointed. The only reason we did not leave immediately was due to the late hour and the fact that the room was clean. That's where the niceties end. The room was small and cramped, the bathroom was tiny with exposed pipes and a tiny metal walled shower. The dresser drawers were falling apart when opened. The drapes were basically pieces of cloths hanging over the window. The door was rotting on the bottom. The grounds were overgrown. The bed was comfortable and clean (thank goodness). (see photos). Considering the shape of the room, the price at $75 was ridiculous. I recommend that this place be avoided, if possible. I am sorry we didn't continue driving.
