This is a beautiful hotel right in the middle of a Bob Ross winter painting. So many trees - so much snow. Great food - nice ambience. Clean spa - friendly staff. BUT check the weather forecast; the week I went was uncharacteristic and we had 7-10 feet of snow in about 2.5 days. The mountain was closed, the roads...

Three couples spent a couple of nights midweek; guys skiing, girls relaxing. The first day was beautiful winter weather. While the men enjoyed the mountain the ladies took the gondola to the village, drank Dirty Snowmen, shopped and enjoyed the lodge until they returned. But then a huge storm arrived and things started to get really fun. There was a...

Since 2014, we have stayed in Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe 8-10 times. While in the past the quality of service and the room quality were "hit or miss", our most recent stay over the 2017 Christmas was FANTASTIC!!! The hotel is expensive, but it is Ritz- Carlton (in the ski resort), after all. So, the price tag is expected. Rooms are...

I stayed here with my family and paid a lot of money to be there. All the way from Australia. I've given it a week to see if I can see more positives from the stay but unfortunately given how much it costs to stay there, the reality falls well short of the actual experience. The wait staff in the...

The concierge at the Ritz did everything to make our vacation during Christmas the best. It is so nice to have people that really care about details. We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment and it was perfect in every way. The convenience of the SKI BUTLER and just skiing off the back deck of the resort made everything enjoyable....

Our stay at the resort was supposed to be a special celebration and ended up being a huge disappointment. There were two individuals (Brenda & Carol) that provided exceptional customer service during our stay. Aside from that, this was our experience: 1 Arrival - complete chaos in the valet area. 2 Disabled assistance - I am on crutches. My husband...

Great people at front desk and at the restaurant Manzanita. Both dinners at Manzanita were excellent. Room could have been cleaner and in better working order, but the hotel staff worked to resolve the issues quickly.

This hotel has exceptional staff that knows how to serve. The downside is that from a maintenance/working order perspective, the hotel could make improvements. None of the issues were insurmountable, they just need specific attention to address.

Due to a snow storm, the hotel was understaffed and many experiences fell woefully short! From front-desk check-in to club-level access, to the pool, True North ski rentals, to the Spa, and even "smores making" were failures. This GM needs to be retrained or replaced. The culture is the brand and this particular week, the failed miserably. Our family won't...
