The restoration/rennovation of this historic property is beautiful. Stayed in a room with the japanese soaking tub and definitely got in as many soaks as possible. Totally worth it. We have family in the area and this is favorite place to stay as a special treat.

Our "ofuro" rooms are our most popular rooms, and guests love soaking in the tubs, rain or shine. The owners put much thought into the renovation of this historic hotel. The rooms above the main hotel building have the high ceilings and refurbished antique plumbing in the bathroom and shower. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see...

The Tallman Hotel and next door Blue Wing Saloon have been beautifully restored in Lake County, CA and we spent a wonderful two days there, celebrating New Year's Eve. The ambiance is lovely, with perfect period decor, a great get-away, not too far from SF or Sacramento. Highly recommended!

We have many guests who come here for a getaway and appreciate that it's not too far to drive from the larger urban areas. They often park the car and settle in to their room, dine at the Blue Wing restaurant right on property, do a little wine tasting across the street, browse the gift shops on Main Street, and...

My wife and I, both well over 70, decided to spend our first anniversary locally and we chose the Tallman Hotel in Upper Lake. We made our reservations a couple of weeks in advance and checked in on New Years Eve. The man on the desk walked us to our room and offered any assistance we might need The room...

We're happy that you chose the Tallman Hotel to celebrate your anniversary. Our "New York New Year's Eve" has been a very popular event. Guests appreciate that once they check in, there is no need to drive since the Blue Wing restaurant is right on property. The rooms with the Japanese soaking tubs are the most popular rooms. Thank you...

We stayed at the Tallman Hotel for just one night and it was delightful. Warm and cozy with tasteful furnishings. The high ceilings in our room were wonderful and the fixtures in the bathroom were amazing. We stayed in one of the Veranda rooms and to be able to walk around the top of the hotel and enjoy the fresh...

Many of our guests love the historic hotel rooms - those high ceilings and the antique plumbing and inviting wrap around porch. All of our rooms have a front porch or veranda, which makes a nice spot for an early evening glass of wine or cup of coffee or tea in the morning. We do in fact have the cleanest...

Friends stumbled upon this charming hotel in the middle of almost nowhere, so we had to go see what they were raving about. It was just as they described: charming, elegant, relaxing, beautiful.... Our room was wonderfully appointed and cozy, so we just relaxed after a day of driving. Breakfast in the elegant dining room was also a great experience,...

We are pleased that word of mouth has been spreading about our hotel. Upper Lake is a very small town, just off Highway 20, and visitors are often pleasantly surprised to find our hotel, our Blue Wing Restaurant and a few quality gift shops on Main Street. If guests prefer a breakfast filled with plenty of protein, we recommend a...

My wife and I recently enjoyed a two-night stay in one of the Tallman Hotel's Veranda rooms. Immediately upon pulling up to the property we were impressed with the beauty of the grounds. The check-in process was pain-free and quick, and we were able to access our room immediately after arrival. The bed was comfortable, and the room was very...

The garden and grounds are part of what makes the Tallman Hotel so inviting. The beautiful Sycamores provide much welcome shade in the summer, and the chef at the Blue Wing Restaurant uses the herbs in the garden for various menu items. Fall is a beautiful time all around the lake, and visitors to the 30 + tasting rooms enjoy...

Had a wonderful stay at the Tallman Hotel! Everything from a garden area where you can dine al fresco to the hotel itself was 5 stars (in my opinion)! My room and bathroom was large and comfortable, with a balcony! Robes and an assortment of lotions, shampoo, conditioner, etc. were provided. The staff were welcoming and helpful! They even delivered...

All of our rooms have either a balcony or front porch, and our "veranda" rooms inside the historic hotel itself have a charming wrap around porch. It's lovely to sit outside in the morning with a cup of coffee or tea, or have a glass of wine in the early evening on your porch. We're glad you enjoyed your visit...

What a beautiful hotel! We were greeted by a very (but not overly and fake) woman at the front desk. Given a good description of each room, since we did not have reservations. We chose the Main Street Suite and it was absolutely adorable! Very clean and cozy but not small at all. The bed was very comfy, and the...

We're glad to hear that the water pressure was good! Our Main Street Suites are part of our "bungalow" house which also has an upstairs room which is one of the largest rooms on property. We're glad you enjoyed your extended stay at the hotel. Our little Main Street is starting to come alive, with a tasting room, mercantile, some new thrift shops, but it doesn't have the variety of shops and activities that a larger town or city might offer. Three girlfriends enjoyed a two night stay Sept. 5-7, 2016 in a charming, modern - but with period details - comfortable and quiet second floor suite (#16). We're glad the massage worked out for your group. Your suite is the largest on our property but we also have 3 smaller suites. The pool and jacuzzi have been very popular this summer, and once cool weather moves in and the pool closes, the jacuzzi stays open for soaking.
