A go to retreat for our out of town guests, this gem never disappoints! Stunning lake views and recreational opportunities in a natural setting - it doesn't get any better. Clean, well appointed rooms at a good value for the price make this our favorite place to put up family and friends. We'll be joining them at the Lodge in...

Stopped by to launch our Scanoe at 4:30 last Sunday afternoon. We were in the area celebrating my son's birthday, thought we would get the kids a little more time on the water before heading home. The 10 bucks to launch we were fine with, the 10 dollars a person to be on their property seemed a bit crazy! (We...

My boyfriend and I (and our dog) stayed here for a weekend of R&R and had a great visit. It's right on the lake with a private dock and nice grassy yard along the water. Very peaceful setting, as this is a small, residential lake, even though the lodge is right off the highway (so you do experience road noise)....

Dear Stephanie G, Thank you for the kind words regarding our available lake activities and the in-room kitchenette, as well as the constructive criticism regarding our coffee and dog policy! Our serene lake setting does come with the disadvantage of being a little off the beaten bath and a 10-15 minute drive to various bars, restaurants and shops. But we...

We cannot praise highly enough the service, value, and professionalism of The Lodge at Blue Lakes for our daughter's April 2017 wedding. Due to last minute complications, the original venue for the event (including rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception) became inaccessible. It was a challenging situation for an imminent wedding in which participants numbered over one hundred. Thankfully, the owner...

We booked 3 rooms for a 50th birthday celebration including an executive suite with a full kitchen and dining room. During the day we rented a boat and enjoyed a cruise around the lake. At night we cooked a meal together at the suite and ate outdoors. The owner even joined us! Rooms are very nice. The grounds are well...

Dear christinerichardson6, Thank you for your kind words. We cannot express how happy it makes us to hear you and your guests enjoyed your stay with us. And we are absolutely flattered you chose our lodge to experience your 50th birthday celebration weekend. That is a big deal, and we are truly thankful you allowed us to be a part...

I booked a room here because of all the great reviews, but was surprised at how ordinary the hotel is. Nice and clean, but not exceptional. It's right off the highway, but backs onto the very pretty lake. The breakfast is good. The friendly clerk is one of the best parts about the experience.

Because this place is located in Lake County I wasn't really expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised however. We stayed in a king jacuzzi tub room. It had a nice gas fireplace and a back door that led out to a patio overlooking the lake. The only thing negative I can say about this place is concerning the bed. It...

Dear bebo8229, Thank you for the kind words and constructive criticism! As cliche as it may sound, we appreciate any and all feedback in our perpetual quest for the "perfect" experience at the lodge. (Although we have to admit, our beautiful lake setting and historical building do help.) On that note, we wanted to let you know that we are...
