Our stay was excellent! This place is very clean, and has a very friendly staff. Brandi at the front desk was awesome! We originally booked a room we'd assumed had a bathtub. However, it did not. Brandi went above and beyond and physically went to check which rooms available had bathtubs and switched our rooms for us. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Also, my wife accidentally left her phone by the coffee machine, and Brandi secured it for her and immediately notified us.
The breakfast was very nice, with a nice selection. Everyone was friendly and said, "Good morning."

This location is easy access off the freeway. Location is central to Vacaville. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I needed info about local places, and they were helpful and accurate.
The breakfast area is vast. It's laid out more like an Embassy Suites than a Hampton Inn. Evidently, it was intended to be something else, but Hilton bought it and converted it to a Hampton Inn. Made breakfast pleasant. Lots of room! The food was good too.
The room was quiet, the housekeeping was perfect. Pricing was good too. Under $150.

Brandi was awesome ! When I arrived my reservation hadn't gone thru & when I attempted to do it again on my phone I didn't reserve that night ....just the two following nights. She was able to get me in at the same price & bump me up to a king room. I was getting a little stressed & she was cool as a cucumber. Im sorry use to service workers getting annoyed when you expect them to actually do their job and help you, but Brandi did everything I needed plus some with out blinking an eye. I will be back for sure and I will be recommending Sonesta Essential to anybody looking to stay in town.

Upon arriving and walking into the hotel, the first thing I noticed was the bright orange sign saying on a "Floor Run". So, I waited and waited about 20 minutes went by and Cleary there was still no front desk clerk. Then I noticed a Lady outside smoking and same person when I got here. I did not realize she was the desk clerk. After she finished a whole pack of smoke, she finally came in and apologized for the wait because she was on break. I told her that one LONG BREAK, I have been waiting here for the 20-30 mins pass while you just sat there smoking and keep on smoking when you clearly see me standing at the desk, she apologized again. At this point I just wanted to get to my room. During the check-in that took the longest 5 mins, because she wanted to explain everything and tell me about her personal problems with her coworkers. Even before she asks my name, I let her know I stay here multiple times and know the hotel well. I do not understand why Brandi just ignored it and going on, anyways what made it WORST is at the end how she explains that she is trying to make the hotel #1 on a web platform. It is like she forcing you to do it and it is just creepy, none of the other desk clerks do that, she can learn from them. After all that and got my room key and headed to the room. I see her walking outside again for another Break. SMH. This was by far the worst check I experienced, guess I will be staying at a different hotel when in town, if I see her working.

Beware the Sonesta Essential in Vacaville. If I could score this place a zero, I would.
The management and staff are unfriendly, look stoned all the time, and very unprofessional. I have stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions due to the proximity to the Ice Rink my kids play but the convenience no longer makes up for the poor quality of the rooms and staff. I thought the Sonesta name meant quality but was surprised by the sticky carpet in our room, the amount of noise that was coming from the hallway, and the inability to maintain a comfortable room temperature.
Further, the hotel recently had a flooding incident where they needed to close the hotel. They never reached out to let me know that my reservation was cancelled. Left me stranded and said it was not their problem. No email cancellation. No phone call.
What a joke of a place.

The Sonesta Essential in Vacaville CA is the best hotel in Vacaville to go. The breakfast is wonderful and well cooked bacon. Good food and get opinions. I also almost lost my beats headphones that cost a high cost and the staff turned it in to me on my way out of the hotel. The hotel is a great deal and place.

The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. The best part of my experience was checking in. BRANDI IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST! She made everything easy and fast because I was exhausted. I loved the fact that my room was ready, she offered help because my hands were full and she explained everything I needed.

This is our first road trip since the pandemic and we found this hotel to be exceptional in adhering to CDC protocol which includes masks, social distancing, and all around cleanliness. We have stayed here before and we use this Hampton Inn as our home-based stay while visiting family in Sonoma. The check-in and check-out process was friendly and speedy. The room was very tidy and clean with a supply of handwipes in the room. There was extra sanitation available around the elevators and breakfast area. This hotel has a unique breakfast room ( very spacious) so social distancing is easily accommodated. The selection of breakfast items is acceptable and they still have the waffles.

If you're looking for a stellar hotel experience, Sonesta Essential in Vacaville, is the place for you. We stayed there from the 1st of December to the 23rd of December, and I can't express enough how wonderful this hotel is. From housekeeping, to maintenance, to the wonderful ladies who provide their great breakfast each morning and especially to the GM, Robert, and all the concierge staff. Robert went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home and he treats his staff as family and the staff have nothing but good things to say about him. We experienced it firsthand during our stay. It's nice to see management who generally care about their employees. It's not just a job to him. The room was immaculate with a comfy, cozy bed. There are coffee, tea and water stations strategically available throughout the hotel and on top of all of this it is Pet Friendly! There is actually a sandwich board in the lobby with all the names of the "Pet Guests" on it and a nice pet park for them. I highly recommend this hotel, whether you stay for one night or multiple nights. We will definitely be back......trust me, so will you. Highly recommend Sonesta Essential in Vacaville! The hotel does accept cash
I do not know of any romantic restaurants that are walking distance from the hotel. but very decent restaurants are only a short drive away - perhaps one or two miles.
Update. Sorry! I was thinking this was Hampton Inn Riverside. Vacaville does not have CSN Bay Area to watch the Giants. :(

We do not have a full resteraunt at our hotel, but we do offer a nice breakfats from
6am-10 am everyday. During the week we have have on the run breakfast bags available as well. We are located near several local eateries within a few minutes of hotel.
