"Be still and know that I am the Lord." This is a very special place and I go here whenever I need to refocus my life. Very quiet and peaceful...except when the trains run nearby. I recommend daily mass and praying the hours with the brothers.

I have traveled extensively in California checking out different wineries. Thought this one would be unique but there was really nothing special about it. The wine was decent an I bought a couple of bottles but I would not recommend that any one go out of their way to see it.

The Abbey is beautiful and peaceful. The winery and vineyard feel like you've been transported to Europe. The wines are excellent. We came for their first release in 2005 and have continued to come away with lovely wines. We're looking forward to our next visit this coming Friday. Discover it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Who would have ever thought of a winery in Vina, CA, of all places, certainly off the grid and not over-rated and over-priced like the Napa & Sonoma region. The wine tasting was generous and delicious and they wave the price of the tasting if you buy a bottle, which we did, times 2! They also offer cheese and crackers...

The Abbey is the most peaceful, serene place I have ever been. I could sit at the koi pond forever just watching the fish and listening to the fountain splash. And if you love wine, this is the place to go! They have award winning wines, a very quaint tasting room and helpful, friendly staff. You can watch a video...

We were too early for the wine tasting so we roamed around and enjoyed the setting and buildings. A great place for quiet and contemplation, so go with the right mood and attitude. We liked some of the older and dilapidated buildings.

Great place to visit - fantastic wine - magnificent part rebuilt 13th Century Abbey from Spain being slowly completed amidst the vines - so great for wine and or history buffs. The buildings that house the wine store would also be of interest to anyone interested in Railroads. Overall we went for the wine and we were NOT disappointed -...

All of my friends thought I was crazy when I told them about my upcoming monastic retreat.  "What, you're going there to not talk and do nothing?!  Why??"  The poor bf didn't have any choice but to accompany me, but the good sport did so with a surprisingly open mind.   It all started with Tassajara Zen Mountain Center in...

This Trappist Retreat house offers silence, nature and a contemplative escape from urban living. No phones. No TV. Just God, nature and humanity. For those brave enough to embrace solitude, and those hungry for spiritual renewal (not earthly food) this is the place to be in Northern CA. No signs of Fr. Louis here...just peace.
