We were amazed at the courtesy, friendliness of Jeanne and her staff, and the beautiful room we were offered. It was almost a step back in time in every way....all good :) Absolute kudos for this wonderful hotel and nothing but good things to say!!! We will be back!!!!

This is our second time staying at the Weaverville Hotel and we'll definitely be back! There are so many special amenities that make this hotel unique, from the perfectly appointed rooms that harken back to the old pioneer days, to the craft chocolates that greet you on your bed, to the gift certificate you can spend on dining at the...

Absolutely the best small hotel I have stayed in in the last 15 years. I have done a lot of traveling and this was the most comfortable. It is a gem and all of Jeanne's ideas and work has paid off making this hotel grand . The two year remodel was a great success. Tony

Having misjudged the driving time from San Francisco, we arrived after 9pm, much later than we had said, and found the hotel closed down for the night and no bell. Nevertheless, we managed to raise Jeanne who welcomed us warmly. Room 7 isn't spacious, but it was very comfortable, cool and quiet. We stayed 3 nights. Using the $5 vouchers,...

If you are going to stay in Gold Mine Country then why not stay in a hotel that helps you feel like you've step back into heart of that time. This hotel has so much charm of yesteryear. First though, the hospitality. My husband I were welcomed by the lady working in the Emporium (a wonderful shop to pick up...

This was a really lovely place to stay. Jeanne and Brian Muir are lovely people and have made their hotel exceptional. Jeanne is the driving force and a past-master (mistress?) in hospitality; welcoming all her guests in person and showing them around the parlour and elsewhere. The rooms are truly lovely, we were lucky enough to stay in two of...

We have traveled throughout the US, Europe, and China and stayed in many a four and five star hotel. The Weaverville Hotel ranks with the best of them. Kora's friendly and helpful reservation service and owner Jeanne's warm welcome got us off to a wonderful start. Our front room overlooking the bandstand was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The claw footed...

Wow! You have definitely made our day. Thank you so much for the glowing review. It is incentive for us to not rest on our laurels but to keep trying to provide real hospitality in our ever more stressful and hurried world. Thank you for your kind words. May they return to you at every turn of the road.

I rarely give out an excellent rating, but this hotel easily rates one. We hadn't booked in advance, but our welcome was warm and inviting. The rooms were great, so well thought out with travelers in mind. Full Victorian, but with more than enough modern touches to make our stay a delight. Jeanne, the owner, had thought of pretty- much...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The hotel, originally built in 1861, was last rebuilt in 1880 after burning to the ground. We have painstakingly restored it to the original high ceilings and wood floors, attempting to recapture as much of the original charm as possible. Private bath with shower in all rooms, most also have claw-foot tubs with bubble bath. All rooms are air conditioned with ceiling fans; most also have gas log fireplaces, a welcome feature during our colder months. Prime retail therapy is to be had in our great little Emporium downstairs where everything from sterling silver jewelry to women's clothing to great gift items can be found. The emporium is open every day, 9am till 6pm except Sundays, 10am-6pm. That's every day of the year! ... more   less
