Only spent one night here. First impression is that of an old motel which received a bit of an upgrade with faux design furniture, some edgy art and a DJ in the lobby. Check in was fine, arrived on a Saturday afternoon and the pool area was packed with the WeHo cool people. Funny smell in the hallways, and first...

This was my second stay at The Standard Hollywood and it has not disappointed! It's a very laid back hotel with a great vibe. The team is great and always make you feel at home. The best part of the room is the balcony and the amazing shower! Will be back soon!

Awful experience! Could not sleep before 2 am 2 nights in a row because of the music. When I asked at what time they would turnnoff the sound so that I can sleep, the answer was: "the hotel is known for its parties", almost wondering why I would come here to sleep. Strange thing indeed to book an hotel to...

What a great hotel! Very cool design. Nice pool scene. Food to order is available 24 hours. Walking distance to the plaza with Starbucks, Trader's Joe and a movie theater. It would have been perfect if not for the thin walls. Third floor is best. If you want quiet, ask for the room not facing the pool or Sunset Blvd.

The Standard team always makes sure I have the room I like, the staff is all incredible especially Blaine, Dillon and Karen on the pool deck. The manager Jon D is outstanding. The hotel has the same service as a gas station, basically you stay there and pay at the end......every weekend there are parties where if you sleep there and pay 350 dollars a night you need to show the bouncers your key or they won't let you in, ridiculous, basically they consider you an intruder.....drunk idiots yell all night by...

Arrived at 3pm, check in was really easy, guy at desk was friendly, and the lobby was buzzing! Went up to the room, which had a great view of Sunset Blvd, as well as a little terrace to people and car watch! Room was a good size, bed was comfy, great start! Went down to the pool to relax on...

Loved this hotel. Loved the protest art in the lobby. Friendly, helpful staff. Room was cleaned immaculately everyday. The food at the restaurant (Alma) was wonderful. As was the extremely full minibar. I would definifely stay here again.

I had 24 hours in LA and had a pitch meeting in Burbank the next morning but wanted to stay on Sunset Strip to experience Hollywood rock n' roll. The standard is a perfect location and my room looked out onto a 60ft billboard of Michael Bolton! The room was hipster minimalist with lots of space and I would guess...

Staff are really helpful and friendly. There is a bar that plays music every night so basically it is always too noisy to sleep. Totally pointless functioning as a hotel. They tend to randomly turn the music up as well. Would definitely not stay here again nor recommend anyone else to. Unless you don't want to sleep.

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
