I had a wonderful opportunity last week to stay at the beautiful Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza in West Hollywood. My friend and I arrived late Wednesday night and upon arrival was cheerfully greeted by the young lady at the front desk. She so very kindly upgraded us to a very luxurious suite with kitchenette that had a lovely view...

Great place to stay to be in the heart of West Hollywood, without paying twice as much for one of Sunset Strip's trendy hotels. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Room was clean, large, comfortable, traditional decor (neither modern nor dated), notch above typical 3 star chain hotel. Refrigerator, coffee maker. But: Very noisy air conditioner was rough on our...

We stayed 3 non-concurrent nights in 2 different rooms. Our first room was a 2 room suite. The front room had a small kitchen with refrigerator and coffee maker. The kitchen had plenty of cabinets but there was nothing in them. I thought there may be some plates and utensils - but there were none to be found. It was...

My first trip to LA to visit my daughter. Needed a central location - close to the school but still near restaurants and things to do and at a reasonable rate. We stayed at the Best Western- 3 days. The price was reasonable, service was good, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool area is beautiful. No hot tub....

This weekend I stay at the Sunset Hotel and it was a great experience. The service made me feel like I was royalty. Our rooms were extremely clean and well taken care out, and the food at breakfast was really good, and a great start to a perfect day. Great location, and walking distance from Sunset Blvd. The only bad...

Best Western Plus sunset plaza raised up the standard of a perfect stay! The beds are just perfect, the rooms a sparking clean and the staff is so friendly that it feels like being home. Is deferentially going to be my hotel of choice when I need to be away from home.

Great hotel, lovely staff, only problem is the noise from other inconsiderate guests, out of 3 night stay woken on two nights by groups of people talking at length in hallway outside my room between 2.00am - 3.00am. Complained after first night, didn't bother the second time.

Hotel itself is acceptable, clean, and comfortable. Care needed approaching from east since there is no way to turn into the hotel. Therefore directions should be obtained before arriving. Restaurant across street excellent value and good food. Location convenient to Hollywood sightseeing and Le Brea Tar Pits (highly recommend). Pool very cold and not swimmable. Hummingbirds feeds in garden around...

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
