we drove to wilbur hot springs for the day use and to enjoy the hot springs. We were very lucky our car didn't get stuck or spun out on the clay/gravel covered winding road to the springs. my tires were spinning and we decided for our safety to turn back. We call the facility to notify them we were unable...

We visited for the day, which happened to be a rainy day. I had read several reviews, and was looking forward to a relaxing peaceful day. First off: yes, the road is a bit rough...yes the facility is rustic...yes you need to provide your own food & beverage...yes it's a bit pricy. However, it's well worth it!!! We loved the...

We loved the hot pools, room was spartan but as described and quiet and comfortable. We had an extra blanket, no outlets, bathroom had sink with cold water and toilet. We brought our own food and cooked it in the beautiful kitchen. Hot springs were amazing. We had massages that were very relaxing. We were unable to hike due to...

I've visited here a number of times before the fire and hadn't been there in a few years... they have great water and pools and a beautiful site...BUT the combination of an unfriendly (almost rude) staff, no concept of the "ethic of hospitality" or good customer service, and an overly strict early arrival rules/fees all combined to make me feel...

Our first time here & spent a quiet afternoon at the hot springs. Is quite a trek from Napa region, but if your going to make the trip I'd probably stay out here than drive back. It's also about a 3-4mile off road drive to enter the property. Hard to not mention the sulphur smell from opening the gate to...

We made reservations but we're unable to make it up the muddy, wet, slippery road. We turned around in fear of getting stuck, also our phones had " no service". So what if we got stuck there? We'd (2 ladies )would have to either walk up to the hot springs in the mud and hope they could call a tow...

My wife and I loved the quiet secluded days we spent here. We booked a private room and enjoyed the communal feeling that is there. I like to cook so it was great sharing travel experiences and food with others in the well appointed kitchen. Long walks, quiet and peaceful surroundings. This is not about pampering your every want but...

Have been staying at Wilbur for many years and love so many things about it. Wonderful pools, great lodge and extraordinary hiking, flowers and peacefulness. However, we were really shocked going back earlier this year for the first time after the fire and seeing the new cabins. While we appreciate that something had to be done to rebuild after the...

If you're looking to be greeted by warm, white robes and fully attentive concierge services, keep looking. But if you're looking for an off-grid, unpretentious, and simplistically beautiful sanctuary on hundreds of acres in northern CA, look no further. Wilbur has held a special place in my heart and soul for decades. Kind of expensive? Yup. Worth it? Absolutely. Sleep...

Even though this has been here a while, the room we stayed in seemed new and pretty close to the water. No resturaut but great kitchen to prepare food. There are numbered boxes for your kitchen stuff and a numbered space in the frig for your food. After you have registered and dropped your stuff off, the only down side...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Wilbur Hot Springs is an off grid/solar powered, destination resort with naturally occurring hot mineral springs located in the heart of an 1800 acre Nature Preserve. When you pass through the gate, you are entering a sanctuary-a refuge from the fast pace and noise of the modern world. This land and its healing waters offer a unique opportunity to slow down, quiet the mind, and listen deeply. The bathing area features the Fluminarium: an open-air onsen with three long flumes of volcanic mineral water with temperatures ranging from 98-110 degrees Fahrenheit, a sauna and a swimming pool. There is little to distract you from the basic tasks of soaking, resting, preparing your meals, and exploring nature. Here, you can let go, sink into yourself, and reconnect with what matters most. ... more   less
