Great hospitality! The team at Reception could not be nicer. Shane and Natalie checked me in and were very kind and were helpful and accomodating with all requests. Nice to have such kind people working on the holidays. Connor was the late shift and really nice as well. Got all my Amazon returns printed, and they lent me packing tape to get some shipping done. Location is great. Two supermarkets are nearby, Starbucks accross the street, Mexican, Vietnamese, BBQ/Southern and an Applebees if that's your bag. Mary's Pizza is good and nearby just one block. Solo travelers can get a "bambino" pizza from the kids menu that is plenty for one person at a nice price. Also noticed a refloxology foot massage next door and also a post office a block away. Beakfast is standard Hampton menu - not special but the breakfast lady was very nice and friendly. If you arrive on the SMART Train there is a free shuttle which connects to the airport, but the driver said they drop within 2 miles from the train stop (Sonoma County Airport - end of the line)
Note for people who leave their food boxes and trash outside your door - it's a real low class move. Do you leave food boxes on the floor in your house and trash in your hallways? Also people with dogs - it's not your house and not your bed - please don't let the dogs up - many people are sensitive to the dander. Thanks for listening. Merry Christmas one and all!

We booked a stay because we'd be in town overnight. The hotel wasn't overly extravagant but well above what we were expecting! Very clean and well kept, quiet and a nice location. Our room was comfy and our interactions with the staff was pleasant. There is shopping across the street (Safeway, CVS Pharmacy, a bakery and See's Candy--just a few examples plus Raleys) It was a short drive to dinner at KIN (Windsor Town Green) and Russian River Brewing Co--both worth checking out they had great food! I would stay here again and recommend it as a place to stay.

For the first time I stayed at the Hampton Inn Windsor for one night March 26-27, 2024. I enthusiastically would return. The property is located in a seemingly safe neighborhood within walking distance of ample shopping and multiple restaurants.
My guest room and the hotel’s common areas recently have been updated. I especially appreciated the brightly lighted bath providing a strong, hot shower, and the large screen (52 inch) TV offering a wide selection of channels.
The self-serve breakfast proved above average among Hampton Inns. Fresh whole fruits and a varied selection of hot and cold items were offered in a pleasant, tastefully updated common area.
The hotel's staff, including front desk personnel Kevin and Natalie, could not have been friendlier. Without my prodding him, Kevin took the time to orient me to the area.

Good location, reasonable price for wine tasting in Sonoma/Napa, rooms clean, and hotel is in good shape. Only minor issues to report: 1) Free breakfast was just OK but the coffee was good [selections limited, out of some items, scrambled eggs burnt, tables needed to be wiped down more frequently...Holiday Inn Express breakfast is better]. 2) Indicated we didn't need daily housekeeping except for giving us new towels. Didn't get a refresh on the towels so I asked housekeeping to put new towels in the room and empty the trash. Neither was done. 3) Computers in the business center are slow and the printer wasn't working properly...needed serious maintenance.

The staff at this location was great, from the maid service to the breakfast staff, everyone was extremely helpful and accommodating. There was a Tesla Charger in the back, which alleviated any stress with having to find a place to charge coming off the freeway. The breakfast had tons of options, even oat milk to go along with the cereal, hot omelettes, waffles and warm coffee/tea. Rooms were clean, and it was quiet being so close to the Fwy.

We stayed here on the home stretch of a 12-day road trip from SoCal to the Oregon Coast, with our dog along. Our trip included 11 hotel night stays in 9 cities, in a variety of hotel types. Hands down, Hampton Inn in Windsor was our favorite. Our room was spacious, smartly laid out and thoughtfully furnished. It is evident that Hilton really studied what travelers need and appreciate in creating this brand. The design is minimal and clean, and it seems everything you need is right where you need it. Although we were on the third floor the availability of luggage carts (4 parked by the entry) made it easy to do our load-in/out. The complimentary breakfast included choices for dining in and grab & go. Contactless check-in and digital key are convenient and fast. Parking is free and ample. For a moderately priced hotel this Hampton Inn & Suites delivers a lot of value. On future road trips Hampton Inn & Suites will be our first choice.

Did not measure up to usual Hampton Inn quality. When we arrived, our sheets had major stains on them. Appeared that they were clean, but stains had not been adequately washed out; actually should have been retired. Coffee bar was habitually empty of coffee and half and half. Shower dispensers needed to be refilled. Could hear walking in room above us, which at 5 am was earlier than we hoped to awake.

We loved the Hampton Inn & Suites Windsor - Sonoma Wine Country and will definitely stay there again! We stayed in a suite and it was so spacious and delightful. The whole property is lovely. You can tell it's been updated recently. The beds were very comfortable with luxurious bedding and lots of fluffy pillows. We also used the sleeper sofa in the suite and that was comfortable, too. We didn't use the pool, but stepped into the pool area which was very nice and inviting.
We especially loved the breakfast spread and variety of items. It was so nice to have hot options, healthy options, and so many other treats like the waffle maker (the waffles were delicious by the way). The location was convenient and easy to get into from the Highway 101, and there are lots of restaurants and stores around within walking distance. It's also close to many of the wineries in the area which makes planning a day of wine tasting easy and hassle free. We'll be back!

This hotel was amazingly quiet, clean and well managed. There are so many little details about the room and the hotel in general that reflect how carefully everything has been designed to provide convenience and comfort for the guests. In addition, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. My experience with Hampton Inns have always been positive, but this location is exceptional in my opinion. And, amazingly, it was one of the less expensive hotels in the Healdsburg/Santa Rosa area.

From the moment we walked into the hotel we were greeted by Natalie, who clearly is a role model of great customer service. Our room was beautiful and quite comfortable. The pool was perfect, we were the only ones using it for at least 2 hours, The complimentary breakfast included sausage, eggs, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, waffles, etc. The gentleman in charge of the breakfast area was warm and friendly and also helpful. Cleaning staff always greeted us with a smile.

There is no casino directly in Windsor; however, there is River Rock Casino in Geyserville and Graton Casino in Rohnert Park. Hope this helps!

Rent a car - even if you plan to do tours with a company, you will want to be able to go to restaurants and shops that you select individually. Plus, some of the best winery experiences are not on any of the tours.
We rented a car at the San Francisco airport. The Sonoma area wineries are great. Ask the hotel staff about some of the smaller vineyards to try out.
