The hotel was exceptionally clean. I said that I requested the highest floor and was told a room on the lower floor was ready and the one on the highest floor wasn’t cleaned yet I was going to take the lower floor but then I went back and said I would wait for the high floor Arnold gave me an upgraded room that was ready. He was so very helpful during my 4 day stay. Always smiling and very kind. The only problem was there was no fan in the bathroom so the counter and everything on it got wet. Also the elevator dinged ever time someone got off or on and I could hear it 3 rooms down

We have stayed at this hotel a few years ago; the renovations were nice - but no table in the rooms to sit around to socialize or set our drinks on. The beds were very comfortable. But the hotel sits right on Highway 101-so the rooms facing the road were noisy. The breakfast was great!

This hotel is well located if you are visiting the Dry Creek or Russian River Valley areas, not so good for Sonoma or Napa, as driving over to those places on 101 is a traffic nightmare almost any time of day. The common areas of HIE are nothing special, although they do offer free wine tastings hosted by local wineries sometimes in the late afternoon. The rooms are ok, although the rooms that face 101 or Conde Lane have lots of road noise, so I'd avoid that if possible. My main problem with this visit was the breakfast. It's standard HIE fare, but the 2 mornings we ate there, they were out of orange juice. The first morning the manager apologized and I guess since it was a weekend they didn't get a delivery so the next morning, still no oj. To me that is unacceptable. Just go to Safeway and buy a couple of gallons of the stuff, pour it into a pitcher and problem solved. So because of the oj situation and the noisy rooms, I am rating this hotel as just average.

The nicest Holiday Inn Express hotel we have ever stayed at. Beautiful building, clean and spacious room with very comfortable beds/pillows. Clean bathroom with good water pressure. Convenient free parking. Walking distance to the town green with cute shops and eateries. Lovely town with friendly people. Nice complimentary breakfast. No complaints at all.

Our stay started poorly and only worsened. Upon arrival late Friday night, we requested a child bed, which wasn’t set up in our room. While the night shift associate kindly provided one from storage, it was outdated and posed safety risks.
We opted to pay in cash at check-out for convenience, given the difficulty of managing our luggage and child. However, when I returned to the hotel later that day and needed a new key, I was met with poor service from George, the manager. He insisted on immediate cash payment of $404, despite my explanation that I had $300 in cash and could pay the remainder by card later. He refused to accept this and instead charged my card twice without authorization, once for $288 and then for $188.
George's handling of the situation was unprofessional and dismissive. When I requested to speak with the General Manager, I was put on hold for 30 minutes and received no follow-up. George later called back demanding $244 in cash, even though I had already offered $300.
Upon returning to the hotel that evening, I discovered that George had deactivated my room keys and attempted to access my safe. The "Do Not Disturb" sign was tampered with, and my closet door was left open. The staff seemed alarmed when I confronted them, indicating awareness of the mishandling.
Attempts to resolve these issues through the management company and Holiday Inn's service center were fruitless. I was redirected back to the same manager, and the service center could only escalate the matter to an overseas team with no real authority. I am still owed $388 for unauthorized charges and a deposit.
In summary, this experience was marked by poor customer service, security breaches, and unprofessional conduct. I strongly advise against staying here.

This Holiday Inn Express is probably one of the most beautiful we've stayed in! It is near the town of Windsor in a quiet area. The staff are great! They upgraded us to a suite. The breakfast was the usual great flair that we love!! We were in Napa's Indigo Hotel the night before. It is an affiliate of IHG but it was not the same great service and caliber as the real Holiday Inn Express in Windsor. The breakfast is not free at Napa's Indigo Hotel and we had to pay for parking, which is not the case at Windsor Holiday Inn Express, parking is free here! We enjoyed our stay here and would come back again!

The staff at Holiday inn exemplifies professionalism and genuine hospitality. Every member of the team, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff, went above and beyond to ensure a seamless and enjoyable stay. Their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction were truly impressive.

I stayed here in October 2021 for 2 nights for a wedding. Our room on the 3rd floor experienced significant leaking that left the floors and windows dirty and caused some scary looking bubbling in the walls, including near the power outlets. This leaking caused damage to our clothing. The leaking noise kept us awake, and it smelled moldy. When we were checking out we asked to speak to the manager but the front desk staff was not very sympathetic or helpful. They said the manager, I believe the name is Kevin Vesair, would call us back for a refund. We called several times over the next weeks and months, and every time we got transferred to voicemail and/or told the manager was not available. I love the Holiday Inn chain and this location was very nice but this treatment and customer service is just unacceptable. I have every reason to believe it would be very simple to provide us with even a partial refund for this 2-night stay. Kevin, or any manager, please take a few minutes to return our calls and make this right.

Hi molly510, Thank you for looping us into your concern about your stay in October. I read your comment about the leak in the room located on the 3rd floor, the floors, windows, walls, power outlets' condition, what happened to your clothing, the noise from the leak that kept you awake, and the unpleasant smell. I also learned about your dismay on a refund and the callback offered. What you described certainly is not the kind of experience we want any of our guests to have. We strive to offer the type of hospitality our guests value most where the essentials are done exceptionally well, but that did not happen on your visit. I am sorry to miss out on this area. I've communicated your sentiments with our management team for review and I've also sent you a private message to discuss this further. I hope to get another chance to host your next visit as we promise to make the value of your experience worth it for all the right reasons. Yours in hospitality, Jeraldine R. Case Manager IHG Service

We spent 4 days in California wine country at the best location to experience the area. The hotel is close to Healdsburg, Russian river and Sonoma wineries and some great restaurants. The hotel has a very good breakfast each day and comfortable rooms. The pool and spa are quite nice after a long day of wine tasting…

The rooms are spacious, the furniture comfortable, the beds exceptionally so. Quiet. The gym is smallish but there is a spa and pool. The hotel is convenient to downtown, walking distance; a fun bowling alley and 'neighborhood style' bar is next-door. Easy access to the highway.
Over the past year I probably had 10 visits and 20 nights visiting family in the area.
The management is attentive if a need was encountered. Since I travel quite a bit, that is important to me. Even the hotel owner responded to a request.
Guest services manager Arnold Mzera is exceptional having had national and international experience in hospitality. He is the equal to my experiences in 4 and 5-star hotel resort properties.
It's a popular hotel, so a little wear is expected. In one visit the elevator was out of service and on another the spa jets were not working.
And on another, the pancake machine wasn't working! :)
All the front desk staff is excellent (kudos to Lupica) as well as the woman who runs the clean and well stocked breakfast room. Leaving a small tip is also appreciated.
