This was the perfect getaway spot, loved the setup of the rooms and great value. Close to everything and loved being in Yountville. The bar was a favorite of ours with great service and a fun atmosphere.

We love Yountville - it’s centrally located in the heart of Napa Valley, the restaurants are excellent, and the town is charming. Hotel Villagio is centrally located in the town so that you can walk to any of the restaurants - but you don’t have to as they also have a hotel car.
We ended up coming a day early as our original plans changed, and lucky for us a room was available. We appreciated that last minute accommodation! Our room, a double queen, was perfect for my daughter and I, with a large and well appointed bathroom, balcony, interior seating area and a fireplace. Since the evenings were cool during our stay we lit the fire each evening and it was wonderful. Twice daily housekeeping refreshed towels, made the beds seem freshly changed each time (do they iron the sheets? Sure seemed it!) and replenished the fire log.
Breakfast is included for all guests in the large lobby. During nice weather the option to have morning coffee outside is inviting - or even by the pool. The grounds are beautifully maintained. We saw people trimming and sweeping the few leaves there are at this time of year constantly.
The property recently underwent a huge refurbishment and the updates are lovely. We had not stayed here before but watched the progress during other visits to the area.
We enjoyed our stay. Staff were so pleasant and eager to help from start to finish and that was really impressive.

would like to thank the entire staff for ensuring that guests feel safe. It was so nice to receive a complimentary bottle of wine from the staff on my first day for welcoming me back to the property. On day one, I had a room on the first floor, I requested a room on the top floor the next morning. I was able to transfer to a nicer room with vaulted ceilings, and a larger bathroom. Reviews are subjective, so this is based on my experience. I felt extremely safe, the property is extremely clean, I have stayed at a lot of high end hotels, the bed at Vintage House was comfortable though I always travel with my own pillows. The linen and sheets were clean, housekeeping did an outstanding job cleaning our room. My only regret is that I should've stayed longer to use the spa, and rent one of their free bikes to get around town. Breakfast is also complimentary, pre-Covid, they used to offer champagne buffets. I am glad that this was not offered because you are surrounded by some of the best restaurants within a few blocks. I am looking forward to visiting again, hopefully during Harvest Season and the Napa Valley Film Festival.

We were really looking forward to our trip to Napa and were left nothing short of disappointed by Vintage House.

Overall other than the lobby the whole place is in desperate need of a facelift - the rooms are filthy with grime along the skirting boards and fixtures. When attempting to draw a bath the water was full of black bits and upon further inspection it became clear that the bath tub jets were full of mould.

There is no room service despite the phone having a room service button to dial. We found this odd given that all of their food facilities were closed that we couldn’t even order a drink to our room.

Breakfast was served in paper takeout boxes — again we understood that given the current environment it’s not possible to have the food facilities open for the hotel. But serving oatmeal in a paper box just meant that it was leaking - so much packaging and really not what you would expect for a hotel charging north of $600 per night. At this rate I would have at least expected a proper plate!

On Saturday morning we were woken at 7am by the sound of the leaf blower so decided to go into Yountville town which is beautiful and within walking distance. We asked for the room to be cleaned and returned a few hours later to find that the room had not been cleaned. By they time they knocked on our door they said they couldn’t come in to clean the room because we had reentered! So we had no clean towels, an overflowing trash can and our last roll of toilet paper, or should I say tracing paper?

The most concerning thing I want to flag is the lack of healthy and safety measures - at the pool we watched several people come and go throughout the day. Nobody came to clean anything, dirty glasses were left out for ages and there is no service at all. Nobody to offer you a drink or bring you a towel — it’s like there are no staff at the facility at all.

I hope this review is helpful for others — overall we were disappointed to say the least and concerned about the cleanliness of the hotel given the current environment.

We appreciate the feedback from your past stay! I’m sorry that your recent visit with us was not up to par. As you may know providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and hearing we have fallen below that standard is something we like to address immediately. I can imagine that our lack of options for the pool area and leaf blower going off at such an early time can start of your stay on the wrong foot. please feel free to contact our Front Office Manager to further discuss this issue. We hope you can forgive this inconvenience and not let it stop you from staying with us in the future!

This hotel has a lot of potential, including a great location and charming property, though there were too many negatives to have me stay here again.

Let me start with the positives:

1) The location is ideal to walk around and explore Yountville. It is across from Bouchon and many other restaurants, wine bars and shopping. There is also a grocery store nearby.
2) The bath in the room is huge, but it is also the shower.
3) Perry Lang’s, the new steakhouse on property, has amazing duck fat fries and bacon.
4) The room service was delicious.
5) The room has a real fireplace with quick burning logs.
6) They offered a Nespresso machine in the room and complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby in the morning.

All of those things were definitely huge pluses about the hotel. Now let me share with you why I will not stay here again.

Here were my frustrations with this hotel:

1) The room heater had an awful noise that kept us up all night gurgling. We mentioned this after the first night and they said they would change our room and it never got changed.
2) The complimentary breakfast does not offer anything warm except for oatmeal. The choices were mainly pastries, bread and fruit, with hard boiled eggs. You could order warm foods, though they would charge you.
3) The customer service was not great. Some of the people were lovely and helpful, but others were outright rude.
4) The shower was terrible. It was a rain style shower, but there was no door to close. The water pressure was awful and it was freezing trying to take a shower with only half a shower door since it doubled as a bath.
5) The back door to our terrace was always stuck and you had to jiggle it to get it to work.
6) There was no blow dryer in the room and when they brought one it was a very gross, old blow dryer that was pretty beat up.

In defense of the hotel, when I explained my frustration about the shower, they did offer to get me a blow out, though I declined. I didn’t want to receive anything, I just wanted a better overall experience.

They also did not offer complimentary waters in the room or turndown service. You could ask for bottled water at the front, but it made the hotel feel cheap given the price point.

I’m intending this hotel fixes their issues as I really do think the hotel has potential, but would not stay here again any time soon.

This is for a post-pandemic stay. A classic bait and switch. The photos make the hotel look luxurious but it is not. The price is offensive (over $1k/night during the week for a basic room). Housekeeping was non-existent (we actually ran out of toilet paper, and had to wash our glasses in our sink because they never replenished), calls to the front desk took over five minutes each time to be connected, no room service, no valet parking, and lobby closed! Many staff members were not wearing masks. Housekeeping staff seemed to be socializing among one another every time I walked by, but never seemed be available despite multiple requests. There also was no service by the pool and the concierge service was lacking. Overall, especially for the price, check out one of the many other fine hotels in the area.

jessicabS87GS, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. I apologize that you had issues with Housekeeping service during your stay. I have shared your feedback with our Housekeeping leadership team, so we can research why you did not receive consistent housekeeping service during your stay. I also apologize that you were not notified that we were not currently offering room service or valet parking. We hope to bring these amenities back soon now that the State of California has lifted the Covid restrictions on June 15th. I would like the opportunity to earn your business back, so when your travels bring you back to the Napa Valley, please contact me directly, so I can make your arrangements personally and provide the experience that we are known for at The Estate Yountville. Best regards, Sean

We stayed at the Villagio for two nights, and we won't be returning to this property. There were several issues during our stay, and while a few might have been Covid related, most were not. There didn't seem to be many people staying at the hotel, but for some reason, we were given a room at the far back side of the property. The road noise in those rooms that back to Highway 29 is terrible! Starting at about 6:00am it sounds like the Indy 500 out there. Another issue is the room design. The property has a very clean, modern aesthetic, but it's not comfortable at all. The shower has no ledge or bench to put anything on, so shampoo, body wash, etc. all has to be put on the floor and you need to bend down to get everything. There were no drawers to put anything in, and the "closet" was just an open rod in the room. The couch and chair backs are very low which does not work for most people. The room had plantation shutters/wood blinds which look nice, but it was impossible to block out the bright light coming from outside the room so it was never dark in there. We were exhausted from not being able to sleep during our stay. On our first day there, the pool area seemed to be taken over by several groups of young people who claimed they were allowed to use the space as part of some promotion with the hotel. They took all of the shaded seating, so we had to sit in the sun. On our second night there, we went to cut through the lobby area to walk to dinner, and we were shocked to discover that the lobby/bar area was locked with a sign saying that if we needed anything, we should call or walk down to their sister property a few blocks down the road. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that it's within walking distance of some great restaurants. Other than that, I would give it zero stars if I could. We payed an obscene amount of money for a very subpar experience.

Don’t waste your $$$, go down the street to Bardessona or Hotel Yountville. Front desk staff limited, no one at front door on arrival & feels more like 3 star service at best.

Room: Loft suite-felt dusty & dirty. Pictures look great but room needs fresh coat of paint & updating. Stairs to the rooms need to be updated, traction coating peeling off. Overall room & grounds seem dated & dirty. Does not feel like $900/night room.

We checked out within 2.5hrs because of air conditioning issues. It was 90 degrees outside & we expected the room to be cool. We were told the air cannot be turned on until the guests actually steps into the room. We waited & waited for the room to cool but the temperature barely dropped. Maintenance checked out the room & said “it’s working .”

When paying almost $1000/night we expect the air conditioner to be functioning despite the temp outside. They offered a lower level (cheaper ) room but we didn’t want to risk it & checked out.

Hotel is wayyyy overpriced ! We have paid $1000/night @ Auberge & the stay was phenomenal. Bardessona & Hotel Yountville similar price point & much better!

My wife and I spent four nights at this beautiful hotel and gorgeous Yountville. It is amazingly located within walking distance to many great restaurants. Unfortunately, everything was closed except for some restaurants doing takeout because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Every room has a wood-burning fireplace, so we ensconced ourselves in our beautiful room and had great food from several restaurants that we either picked up, or had delivered.

A couple of minor issues that I experienced. There is a $50 resort fee and they add tax to that. So, in reality it is a $60 resort fee which is outrageous in this time of Covid where everything is shut down. The restaurant was shut down in the hotel, the spa was shut down, so, it was almost insulting The charges that. Also, I would love real firewood, instead of those fake logs you buy at the supermarket that were provided. There is nothing better than the smell of firewood on a cold winter night.

Overall, this is a very beautiful property and I would love to visit again when the pandemic is over.

The Positives: The location is perfectly centralized to everything in Yountville. The rooms were modern, and the bed very comfortable. They also have a sound system tp block out noise in each room, so guests can get a great night of sleep. The breakfast was excellent.

The Negatives: The nightly rate is extremely high for what you get. The daily housekeeping was very subpar: dirty glasses were left in room, turn down service and daily housekeeping was sporadic at best. When it did occur, things weren't well cleaned. They even left a filled trash bag in our bathroom. They also didn't replace our fire log after we used it the first time. They also forgot to leave chocolates on our bed. Basically, there was very little attention to detail. Another set of friends staying at the same time experienced similar issues. There were also maintenance issues upon arrival: The safe had an error code, the remote to the TV was missing, and one of the bathroom sinks had a drainage issue. While they resolved the issues quickly, this shouldn't have been the case for a room costing over $1,100 a night. The water pressure was also terrible, and the water for the shower took an incredibly long time to heat up. The concierges at the front desk were also not very knowledgeable when asked basic questions about the area.

All this to say, you're paying $1,100 a night largely for the location.
