What a lovely and well managed hotel. Our room, Premium King, was absolutely beautiful with a canopy bed, very large jetted tub, big shower made for taller people (I’m very short but appreciate tall people needing a high shower), small but well appointed patio and nice amenities including water stocked in your fridge.

This is our first stay here and we will be back- Yountville is so expensive and we have stayed at Villagio and Bardessona, but feel this was a better value.

The breakfast was the best I’ve had at any hotel! It felt like a personal chef cooked perfectly for me. It was beautifully plated, not full of butter or oil and fresh vegetables. I had the omelet with amazing greens and mushrooms as well as their avocado toast. Truly perfect.

Service was great everywhere.

One issue was the pool situation. First, the pool area and multiple seating areas were beautiful. A great place to hang out with beds as loungers, lots of shade and a great bar with a very motivated bartender. However, during this covid time, it was disappointing to see a big party going on in the pool. Unfortunately, there were two groups who took over both sides of stairs so to get in and be able to stay a little distant was challenging. I’m big in personal responsibility, so it was up to me if I wanted to go in, however it would have been nice if these people were given a reminder to move away from the entries.

The feel here was adult, however I saw families with babies and children, even a few dogs, and all seemed happy. I would take advantage of earlier in the day with kids at the pool as later the adults definitely have their drink on. Dogs were allowed tethered by the pool too, I thought that was nice. If you bring a dog, there are lots of walking paths around the hotel.

It was an easy walk into town where their are many tasting rooms, excellent restaurants and shops. It helped us walk off all the good food.

Enjoy!

Thank you for your 5-star review and for taking the time to provide such detailed feedback! It is as helpful for future guests as it is for us. I am thrilled you enjoyed the room and amenities as well as the food and service. I will make sure I share your feedback with the team. Thank you, also, for your feedback regarding the pool on the 4th of July. It was more than we were expecting as wel and we have added social distancing signs, additional hand sanitizing stations, and additional training to ensure if we see similar sized groups of guests at the pool we are better prepared to ensure all our guests can enjoy the pool comfortably and safely. Again, thank you so much for your review and I look forward to welcoming you back!

We just enjoyed a four night stay, for I think the 5th time over the past couple years. We love Yountville - it’s centrally located to the wineries we enjoy, you can walk to restaurants and tasting rooms, and this property is just lovely.
Our premium king room was perfect. We love being able to park literally right outside the door to our room. The fireplace was lovely on the cool nights and the big bathroom was well stocked with thick towels and great bath products.
Twice daily housekeeping is a nice touch. Most of the time Kollar chocolates were waiting on our pillows at night - except the last two nights and we aren’t sure what happened then? We missed them - Kollar is a superb chocolatier.
We opted for the ‘Rise and Shine’ package, which includes breakfast at their Hopper Creek Kitchen. We typically aren’t breakfast people, but here is where a person becomes a breakfast person. Organic eggs, locally sourced ingredients, beautiful presentation and excellent service are staples there. It’s worth it to try if even one time.
The hotel has relationships with several wineries and tasting rooms and is happy to assist with reservations and appointments.
We really like staying at this hotel and will be back.

I booked Hotel Yountville with the AMEX Platinum benefits which did not include breakfast at this property. Even so, the breakfast was lovely. service amazing (see below) and worth it. Hotel is small and quiet (review is done during Covid pandemic) with a lot of plusses. The bikes are complimentary and Napa wine trail bike path is across the street from the hotel. Super nice.

My only minor negatives are that our patio on Deluxe King room was right on parking lot so the ambiance wasn't great. I had my coffee on the patio and experienced noise from guests, cars, and staff. We also had a snafu with a dinner reservation made for us by hotel staff and the hotel was not able to be reached by phone in the evening to rectify the situation. This isn't a big deal by any means but in a more urgent situation it is disturbing to have no way to contact your hotel. In fairness to HY, this may be a byproduct of the pandemic, however, one should be able to reach a hotel desk at 7;30 pm.

The positives far outweigh the very minor negatives. The pool is gorgeous and quiet. The bartender Chris offered friendly service and great local advice. Issela is just a complete GEM. She should be so highly appreciated by the hotel. She was our server for breakfast and at the pool on our last day. She is lovely and provides the extra that is so appreciated and makes a huge difference.

The staff at the hotel are very friendly and the rooms are nice. Bathrooms are extremely well appointed. Looking at prices across Yountville, the hotel is likely a value. Would stay again.

We wanted to stay close to downtown but not right in the middle of things, and the Hotel Yountville worked fine. We booked through American Express Hotel Collections, and got an upgrade to a larger room. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was huge with dual sinks, a large tub, and a large shower stall.
We had hot breakfasts on two days, which were fine. The room included a continental breakfast, which had one of the best hotel croissants I've ever had outside of France.

Had a four day, three night stay at Hotel Yountville. Previously, I stayed near by at the Bardessono. Here are my thoughts:

The service at the hotel is bar none. Special thanks to Karen at the front desk who went above and beyond to make our stay special. The entire staff from Nick to the spa staff to the house cleaning staff were just extraordinary.
The premium room photographs much better than the actual room. It's large with a 4 poster King Size bed, massive bathroom, and even a small balcony with table and chairs. The problem is that the balcony overlooks a housing community, so it's not very pretty. The room was pretty run down, as I explained to the hotel. Stains on all the furniture, all the wood was nicked, and someone thought a faux stucco design in the private toilet was a good idea. It just looks cheap, like a road side motel. If you consider the layout to the whole property you get the impression this was maybe a roadside motel that received a major five star facelift. All of the rooms face a common parking lot, like you would get at a road side motel. Turn down service every night comes with local chocolate. Free grab and go breakfast is much better than the actual menu breakfast. We had to send one of our plates back because the hot food was cold.
I shared my observations and concerns with the hotel and like I mentioned earlier, they went above and beyond to ensure the rest of our stay was stellar. We spent very little time in the room, so in the end, the problems really didn't matter.
I'm sorry to say, though, next time I will be going back to the Bardessono. Much more luxurious for the same price.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback of your recent stay at HY. I am glad you enjoyed the location and service provided. I am sorry you didn't like the view from your building or the condition of the room. We were scheduled for a significant room rejuvenation prior to the pandemic and we are in the early stages of re-starting that project. Please stay tuned! I have shared your feedback to the culinary team as we are always looking for opportunities to improve our menu and quality. Thank you again for you stay with us and for the feedback. We hope you consider staying with us when your travels bring you back.

We were delighted to return to the valley after a three year absence, and chose Yountville as we have in the past because it is such a lovely town, centrally located in the valley and you can walk to all sorts of places including terrific restaurants. Hotel Yountville has been our ‘go to’ in the past and we were reminded why on this return visit.

Travel delays affected our first night and we were able to add an additional night which we really appreciated. That was lucky for this time of year…the valley is getting busier as bud break nears!

This trip we stayed in a premium king suite room, which was located on the first floor and had a nice big patio with fountain. A bit more in cost than a premium king but not as large as the Yountville suite…..the patio with fountain, lounge chairs and nice location made it worth it. The weather turned chilly toward the end of our stay so the fireplace (each room has one) was put to good use. We enjoyed the tranquil patio very much the first days of our visit!

Daily housekeeping comes in the morning as well as for turndown in the evening. Coffee, water, and creamer are replenished and in the evening truffles from Annette’s are left on your pillow (see who gets to it first!). We miss the Kollar chocolates but wow are the truffles fabulous!

This trip we did not have breakfast but each morning my husband visited the lobby for fresh fruit and pastries, which were delicious.

We’ve stayed in downtown Napa several times and at another property in Yountville, but return to this hotel because it is nice and quiet, service is terrific, and because we just like it here. We’ll be doing so again…..and sooner rather than later.

This hotel is heavenly! Rooms and facilities are gorgeous and the location is fantastic. Right in downtown Yountville where you can walk to all of the excellent restaurants, pastry shops and boutiques. They have a driver that will also drop you off or pick you up wherever you wish to go.

The pool is in a pretty little courtyard with cabana beds surrounding it so you don’t have to stake out chairs. It is a fabulous place to enjoy an afternoon after wine tasting.

The concierge will help set up and plan your day with tasting and restaurant reservations so you can just tell them places you would like to visit and they figure it out for you. Absolutely fantastic.

This is our favorite place to go and we highly recommend it!

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights with our 10 yr old to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We could not have asked for a better stay. Gorgeous and quiet and private and peaceful. Great location close to cafes and restaurants and parks. Decorations were subtle and magnificent the service was spot on. The pool was perfect and so was the food
They had a great bottle of Stewart winery wine for us when we arrived and accommodated all our requests and more
Definitely recommend this hotel

We have stayed here since the hotel opened. It’s really always been about the location for us, and we used to love this hotel. The property is still lovely. We did take a couple years off because we didn’t love our rooms last couple of times and tried again this weekend. Here’s the quick version: you can’t charge $600-1000 per night and not back it up. The hotel no longer backs it up these price points. The deluxe rooms are feeling dated and tired. They def need a refresh. There’s no place to plug your phone in next to the bed on either side, and it’s 2023. Since we use our phones as alarm clocks and for a number of reasons, this is a simple fix the hotel can consider. The pillows on the bed were atrocious—four random types of old, lumpy and flat pillows. Uncomfortable and made no sense. If this was a $200/300 hotel you’d overlook these things, but you cannot at $600+ per night. Also the lobby breakfast is literally coffee and a mini croissant. Not impressive. Staff was nice and kind as a usual. I’m fine paying a premium for a great hotel and a great room, but it feels like things are lacking at HY these days. We’d consider other options on our future trips to Napa.
