This motel is a great place to stay in the Joshua Tree area. The owner gave me a choice of rooms and was very nice and accomodating. The cleaning staff are nice people as well. A previous review I read on this motel stated that it had a lot of meth activity, which I found not to be true as... More

Wow! Some bad reviews here but for $50 I thought it was totally fine place, was full up with nice cars by late evening. I saw no sign of meth heads or street people. It is found about 2 blocks off the highway so you get no noise. The room I had was very spacious, I found the owner(man) very... More

This is a stop over for meth heads all around town to come and take meth all night. Single ladies beware, you will feel very vulnerable and the people that run the motel are extremely strange. They also do not change the sheets, simply make the bed and tidy. Proceed with caution and spend a little bit extra for your... More

I love this place plus they treat me like they have known me for years and yes I return every two weeks true and don't look like much from the outside but I am very pleased with the ruins I'm also very pleased with your convenient location generally motels only have a gas station to get the food or supplies... When I checked in, I used a credit card. After all preliminaries were done, I was given the key and my receipt. As I was closing the door behind me, I saw the receipt was made out for $850.00 instead of $85.00 (2 nights). I went right back in, but the foreign lady did not know how to fix the... More

Exhausted after visiting Joshua Tree, we stopped in here and booked a room, hoping we could just take a nap before finding someplace to have dinner. They charged us $54 which is a totally fair price for the motel style room. I squashed a bug on the bathroom wall, hoping that was just a fluke as the room actually seemed... More

This motel is nothing fancy, but it is comfortable, clean, and quiet. It is also a blast from the past--the kind of original motel my family used to stay in back in the 50's and 60's when I was a kid. They have a 48-hour cancellation policy, so be sure you will be going before you book. There is no... More

This little motel is just a block off the main street of Yucca Valley and seemed much quieter than that. Room was clean and bed comfortable enough. We walked to supper at a nice local restaurant. This is an inexpensive mom and pop place but oh so convenient to desert sightseeing. We'd stop here again.

We booked a room at The Desert View Motel for a place to stay while attending the King of the Hammers event in Johnson Valley. We figured a cheap hotel was better than staying in the wind and dust near the main event. We reserved our room (there were 3 reservations). We received confirmations of the reservations. I called the... More

Nice person behind the desk, nice clean room , nothing fantastic but nice and safe. Water was really hot and plenty of pressure. Very Quiet, slept good. Good price and plenty of room to store your stuff. I'd write more but have nothing to add.
