When it comes to hospitality, a profound sense of care and compassion as well as an unwavered appreciation for travelers and humans of all walks of life, those without a place they can call home on their journey; Mitch - at the Bunk House Lodge - redefines the concept of safety, acceptance, non-judgement, kindness and beyond. If you’re traveling alone or with a friend/partner there’s nowhere else in Summit County (Breckenridge, CO) you can find that is as unique, comforting, welcoming and affordable - and simply just badass as heck - as the Bunk House Lodge. Stay for a night or for months; you’ll never get tired of Mitch, his four legged friends and the travelers who share the same magical space with you.

The host is great! Made my visit so pleasant! Bunk was super comfy and the overall property was immaculate and very nicely decorated! A great stay! Would highly recommend! So close to the Breckenridge ski resort and close to Frisco as well!

the visit brought out the child in me, the food was outta this world and the hike on the continental divide trail was breathtaking

As soon as you pass from the large gravel parking area through a handmade wooden gate into a wildflower-filled garden, you feel your entire body relax. Really. What a uniquely fantastic "hostel" the owners of The Bunk House have created. It's an architectural wonderland of 1890 meets 2021. While maintaining the historical integrity of this old mining cabin (actively used during the gold rush, it's situated along what was the line of the gold rush), it has been refurbished with the greatest attention to detail and elegance. From the many hand-carved, polished wood staircases & ladders, the ultra-comfortable mattresses and outdoor hot tub, to the neverending collections of wall art, pottery, masks, cast iron and copper tableware, your eyes won't be able to discover every gem there even if you stay a week--which you should.
