Beaver Run Resort has it all. This is a sprawling resort with several dining options, spacious rooms, perfect location, and every amenity you could ever ask for. This is a ski-in/ski-out property, and in the other months surrounded by gorgeous vistas and trees. We hit the changing colors of September and it was spectacular. The town shopping is just 3 short blocks away. There are multiple outdoor hot tubs and at least two separate gyms. They were open early and had everything needed. The food was excellent at both restaurants we ate at, as was the conference breakfast and lunch buffet.
Best of all was the staff. Management has clearly invested a lot of focus into hiring and retaining the most upbeat and helpful team members in hospitality. Everyone from the front desk to ballroom staff were professional and a delight to interact with. Special thanks to Sarah Watson for helping us iron out details and fine tune on the admin side of our conference. This was a real treat.

Stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath unit in building 4 and it was very comfortable. Queen bed with separate bath as you come into the unit to the right and an adjoining suite had a king bed and a bunk bed with a twin above and a double below. The master bath had a jetted, very deep tub and separate shower room with the toilet. Full kitchen with coffee maker and coffee supplied. I would recommend bringing your own miscellaneous food items including wine or liquor as the bar is very expensive. 28.00 for a house glass of wine and a Crown and Coke. Suite has a wood burning stove and they provided wood and matches/lighter with kindling. This suite could easily sleep 8-10 comfortably! Small balcony next to the hillside. I would stay here again!

We loved it - it really is the perfect location, ski in/out but still only a 10 minute walk to town (or you can also call the hotel shuttle) We stayed in a Colorado suite which was a great size for us, 2 adults and 2 teens. It has a kitchenette which is convenient for making breakfast and maybe an easy dinner.
The ski lockers are literally on the slope, next to the Beaver Run lift. We also enjoyed the pool and steam room - which were all very nice and well maintained. It’s older than the on mountain resorts on peak 7 & 8 but it’s all well maintained and the staff are all super helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

As many if these reviews mention, the rooms are obviously in need of some serious TLC. We were given a "renovated" Colorado suite. This renovated room came with broken unusable blinds and missing supplies (soap/dish liquid/sponge). While the location is the best part of Beaver Run the serious problem came with the housekeeping staff. Last year we stayed and had a problem with the housekeeping staff being rude and we just assumed it was one instance and that it would be different this year. Once again, the housekeeping is beyond rude, obnoxiously knocking on the door nonstop until you came to the door at 9am multiple times throughout the week. Going "Oh you guys are really still here?". Excuse me!?, Yes we're still here it's 9am. After this, they never brought more towels, and didn't take the trash out more than the first time at the beginning of the week. At the end of the week we tried mentioning this to the front desk. The morning we were leaving the housekeeping came very early again rudely telling us they tried to clean our rooms but we were still there. 9am? Of course we are still there! After this housekeeping person left another came and knocked within 20 minutes and said "oh so you guys still haven't left yet?" Obviously the front desk didn't do anything about it and the entire staff needs to be trained on hospitality. Renovate your entire buildings and find some new staff or pay them more. This is ridiculous. We're supposed to be on vacation. I shouldn't have to trip over all of the trash and dirty towels to run to the door to answer the constant banging of housekeeping at 9 in the morning.

This hotel has progressively deteriorated over the 20 years that we have been coming here. There is clearly a need for investment but it does not seem to be happening. The rooms are shabby and dated, it is clearly understaffed, the Skymarket is really expensive and the shuttle service is poor- expect to wait up to 30 minutes in freezing temperatures for a shuttle. The hotel is clearly trading on its location which you can’t fault but everything else is sub-standard. We won’t be back.

I am 66 years old and still very active. I have to beaver run resort since 2014 , beem there 5 times with my family. I stay at least 12 days, and this time I stayed 13 nights in a summit apartment. When I made de reservation 9.months before I asked to located in build.4 near the skin run and near the ski locker. When I checked in Pilar said that I would stay in that apartment. Well they put us in the other side of the building. I called her and asked to change the room she said she couldn't. After 20 hours flying we stay in the room. The room was freezing it was 65 F next day I called at 7am and Larry answered I the only thing he could do was send firewood!!!!! . So I am paying 4 k in a room that is freezing. Called again at 12 am and Manoel was shocked and sent 5he maintenance guy Raimundo that said that the heating was working but not coping with the size of 5he apartment. Them came Greg a nice guy with a handheld heater, and the said the same. Still called front desk and they said they could do nothing about. On my third day I demanded to speak with the manager and a very rude assistant manager Cathilyn said she could not change my room that hey we're expecting new guest.etc I said that I was staying 2 weeks . And she like a robot kept saying bla bla. I demanded to speak to her superior and after 1 hour Sarah appeared and kept saying the same thing. In the past Beaver run was glad to change my room. I asked for compensation and she said NO NO NO. Only after I said I would use social media she agreed to change apartments I put exactly where I asked, heating was good near the elevator that led to the ski locker. I lost a day of skiing in the process had to pack everything and the food that we had to the new apartment. They said that they would send a trolley car to move everything but it never showed up. I think because they are in a very good location ski in ski out they are not investing in renewal , they are lazy. I answered their survey wrote to them and not a single word came . What a shame

Room was really rundown and the service is comically slow.
For example, the curtains were torn up and falling off our curtain bar and looks like the windows have never been cleaned. The carpet was all stained too. When we arrived, there was a half eaten pizza in our room and it took over 24 hours for the pizza to be taken from our room. When we called for a humidifier, it took over 7 hours to get one. Someone smoked in the room next to ours all weekend and the hotel never did anything. It’s a real shame such a nice location doesn’t put some money into their rooms or train their staff better.

We've stayed here three times previously with OK, but not great, experiences. Our current stay this week will be our last. It's definitely not the luxury property as it claims and feels pretty run down. Broken fixtures, worn out furniture, dirty carpet, old and peeling paint, etc. This place feels more like a dump with each visit. We've generally tolerated the rundown condition because the location is convenient and prices are not overly high compared to other Breck options. But they have major management and customer service issues. Today, it took 77 minutes to check in (with only 7 people in line and 1 desk agent working during prime checkin hours at 4pm). Their phone guy named Ryan said he was working in the office but refused to come out to help move the line more quickly. He was totally dismissive. Restaurant quality has dropped significantly, too. If you're planning a trip to Breck, I recommend spending a bit more to stay at one of the actual resort hotels where quality control is taken seriously. As an independent hotel, Beaver Run just doesn't seem like its owners or managers even care about quality anymore.

Rooms are subpar as the rest of these reviews state. It’s hit or miss depending on the owner of your particular unit. We stayed with family in a few different units and some were fine while others were in total disrepair.
Television is streaming and does not work. If you want to watch a football game after a long day of skiing on your Christmas break, make plans to provide your own streaming. There is basically no television service.
We stayed in two rooms after deciding to come a day early and needing an additional reservation. Phones didn’t work in either unit. Bathrooms are functional but dated. Housekeeping was fine. No complaints. Way better than VRBO where you do it yourself.
No AC is a real deal even in winter. We slept with windows open. Can’t imagine coming here when temperatures are above 40 degrees. Even with heat at the lowest setting the rooms were never below 70 and one kept getting warmer, up to 78.
Stay for location but nothing else.

Nice room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and linens. The room numbering is exceptionally confusing. First you have to find your building, then find a 5-digit room number. It was super convenient to stay in the same location as the conference I was attending. I appreciated the water bottle fill stations throughout the resort, the easy access to the Breckenridge shuttle, and the option for a hotel shuttle to town. It was unusual to me that there was no ice machine in my building and I had to go one building over for ice. We also had to go one building over to access the parking garage, as the elevator to the garage in our building was out of order for the whole stay. The shop was really convenient with made to order food options and Starbucks, but the prices were wild. Would stay there again, but can’t give 5 stars..

Dear Jules,
Good questions. The ski locker rooms are located in the common building where you check in, it's close to 20-30 feet away from the chair lift once outside. From your unit you will need to walk across the sky walk that leads you to the common building and locker rooms. The lockers itself are like high school lockers as in tall rectangular lockers. Beaver Run only allows 1 locker per room number and all our ski lockers are complimentary. for our guest staying at Beaver Run Resort. I hope that answers your questions Jules, thank you again!
