Stayed in Unit 306, managed by Vacasa. Everything went well; check-in and check-out smooth. Unit was clean and equipped. As others have noted, the rooms are small, but we appreciated having two bedrooms and two baths at a reasonable price. Overall, this is a unit for getting out and exploring Breckenridge and the mountains, not for lounging at home. Very easy walk to downtown, and shuttle bus stop at the end of the block. Easy access in the car to highway 9 and the rest of the area. I noticed an $8 million home a short distance away, so to be in this neighborhood at this price is a good deal!

I had 2 friends in town from my native Ontario and I wanted to give them a real mountain experience in Breckenridge. The Wildwood Suites was the perfect place for a relaxing weekend. The rooms were comfortable and nicely furnished with a full kitchen and lots of closet space. We didn't feel like we were in a hotel room; we could have been at someone's house. Our room was on the ground floor and we could see people skiing by all afternoon. There are 2 hot tubs outside under the evergreen trees and a sauna. The Wildwood is also very conveniently located; just 2 blocks from main street. The girls at the front desk were very helpful and friendly; the free breakfast was a nice bonus and the prices, considering what other rooms go for in downtown Breckenridge, were a pleasant surprise. I'd definitely stay there again. It's the perfect place for people who want comfortable accomodations but want some money left over for left tickets, the pubs and shopping. Here's a tip; When you call for reservations, ask them about the internet discount. I did this and they gave me a $60.00 off the normal rate!!

I've stayed at Wildwood many times and have found it clean, convenient and comfortable. Their staff was always attentive and helpful during my stays. Due to the number of our visits, I've become aware of their policies, one of which is not being responsible for disturbances caused by others. This was and still is ok with me, because there's no way to control unexpected noise. So I'm suprised at the inappropriate slam given by the Boulder traveler. I also know that they have a very high rate of repeat and referred guests that keep going back to Wildwood because of good location and very affordable rates. But, I guess some people still think life should be free, especially if you complain enough. Wildwood is a great place and we will continue to enjoy it as such on future visits.

This condo is much smaller and older than it looks in the picture. May sleep 6 but felt crowded for 2 adults and 1 small pet. Overlooks parking lot, not lovely babbling brook on other side of building. Furnishings are old, worn, outdated. Throw pillows torn with stuffing coming out. Main bedroom has double, not queen-size bed, that you can barely walk around on 3 sides only. Kitchen well-equipped but tiny. Dishwasher did not work. Had some old, dusty games that were falling apart.

We were deeply disappointed with our stay at Wildwood suites. After being quoted a price and then given a final price including taxes, we were suprised when we got our final bill (we had to pre pay) that we owed $15 MORE dollars than we had been previously quoted. We called and they made up some story about an extra cleaning charge b/c we were only staying one night. The jacuzzi tub did NOT work and the beds were the MOST uncomfortable beds that I have slept on in a LONG time. The breakfast was horrible and they actually had notes posted not to eat too much. They expected you to take out your own garage and do the dishes before you left (with a $15 surcharge for cleaning!) I found this unacceptable. They also did not have adequate parking for the premises. Breckenridge is beautiful, don't waste your money on this place.

Let me first say that in the past we have really enjoyed staying at Wildwood Suites. The main reason we chose Wildwood Suites is because of its proximity to the river - it is great to open our windows and listen to the water. And the hot tub outside is nice too. And it is comfortable, not fancy, but decent. But unfortunately, our last experience at the hotel was not so great. When we first arrived in our unit, we thought the bathroom fan was on. Well, turns it was the refrigerator making a very loud vibrating noise - we had to sleep with our bedroom door closed at night because the noise was so loud, even the river didn't drown it out. Next, we discovered that everytime we flushed the toilet in our unit we had to remove the tank cover and manually reset the float in the tank. Very annoying....
Also, when walking from the hallway to the bathroom or to the kitchen, you had to be very careful if you weren't wearing shoes. The carpet had come up and was exposing the metal "tacks" from the subfloor that the carpet is supposed to stick to. I kept getting my feet poked by these sharp tacks.
The continental breakfast is very, very basic. You are lucky if you get there early enough to get a yogurt. Otherwise it is really just bagels, english muffins, and oatmeal.
All of this I could have dealt with, but the kicker for me was the morning we checked out. We realized that check out was at 10am. It was about 9:45am and I tried to call the front desk by dialing "0" as the directions said. I tried several times and it never worked. So I went down to the front desk, and asked if we could check out at 10:30 since we wanted to get everything cleaned up, the dishwasher was still running, etc. Most hotels will let you have an extra hour for a late checkout, we were just asking for an extra 30 minutes. Well the staff lady just looked exasperated. She kept saying they had "back to back" reservations - we needed to be out by 10:15am. I left the counter feeling very frustrated. On my way back down the hall, I did not see a single maid cart. I think it was more of a power trip for her to deny us another 15 minutes, rather than a need for a maid to get in and clean our room. In my opinion, a little customer service goes a long way. For what you get in terms of amenities Wildwood Suites is quite expensive at $105 per night (during the summer). I think for that price next time we will find something with much better customer service in Breckenridge.

Wildwood Suites has a good location near the entrances to the ski area in Breckenridge. But it's all down hill from there, so to speak. When we made our reservation we asked to be able to check in a little earlier than the regular 4:00 time (why so late?). When we got there at 3:00 we were told, "Your condo is the last one being cleaned, come back later." With a 10:00 a.m checkout time (why so early?), seems like they could have worked this out for us.We finally checked in at 4:10. Returning to the condo after dinner out, the parking lot was full. With no public lots or all-night street parking nearby, we had no choice but to park in a no parking lane and hope for the best. Then, around midnight, we were awakened by a loud Reggae party taking place in the building lobby public area. Even though an employee lives in the building, there is no way to contact anyone after 5:00 p.m. for assistance. So at 2:30 a.m., with the noise getting even louder I'd had enough and decided to risk life and limb and ask the revelers to quiet down. Luckily, no nastiness. We got to sleep about 3:15 am.The next morning, I complained to the office about my family's lost night's sleep and requested some kind of compensation. That's when the nastiness happened. I was told by management "we're not responsible" and "you should have just called the police." They totally refused to adjust our bill or offer other compensation even though we were kept up half the night AND did them the favor of getting the noise taken care of for the benefit of their other guests. There are an abundance of fine condos available in Breck. This isn't one of them. Unless you're looking for a high risk of problems, combined with a management uninterested in dealing with them, I'd avoid Wildwood Suites.

Front desk staff helpful, but owner of unit#210 has obviously spent minimal effort in upkeeping this condo. It's outdated and dingy. Screen missing in front window, kitchen cabinets are old and in rough shape. Overpriced for what you get! Smelled like smoke too. Oh and bedroom casement window opens but won't shut. Hope we don't freeze tonight. What a racket!!

The location of the property is excellent. Our unit was located at the back of the property overlooking the woods. The unit was very dirty. The tub did not drain until I pulled all of the hair out of it from other guests. The blankets were covered in dog hair and even the patio doors had dog slobber on the glass!. We don't have pets, nor were told this unit allowed them, we would have rented elsewhere. The carpet was dirty and stained too.
The front desk girl was extremely uninterested in making any kind of conversation. The only time she spoke to me was to request my credit card and tell me the unit number. It is clear the management does not care.
We have rented a number of places in Breckenridge, Wildwood is my least favorite.

Response from WILDSUITE, Manager at Wildwood Suites Condominiums
Responded Apr 4, 2014
The staff at Wildwood is extremely friendly and accommodating. Had any concerns been made during your stay they would have been addressed immediately. Wildwood’s top sources of clients are repeat and referred guests. In the future voice your concerns so that they can be taken care of immediately.

Do not let their relatively low rates trick you, they are low for many reasons. My husband and I were extremely disappointed with our accomodations at Wildwood Suites. We had payed a premium rate for what they said would be one of thier nicest condos with a view. First, there are no rooms that have a "good" view. Second, the condo we stayed in looked like it had not been updated since the place was built. All of the kitchen appliances were at least 20 years old, the furniture was worn and dated, the light fixture in the bathroom broke during our stay, and two of the living room windows were impossible to close completely (causing a very cold draft). On that note, our bedroom was always stifflingly warm and when we mentioned it to the front desk, they replied "Well your condo is near the boiler room, so you'll just have to open the windows." This was characteristic of their style of service. The people that work there did not care about our discomfort one bit. In fact, a woman named Donna was very rude, and condescending. Most importantly though, they do have a hot tub that looked pretty nice, however, it was broken for our entire stay. If a hotel can't fix their hot tub for over a week, in the middle of ski season then there is something very wrong with the place.
We will never stay at Wildwood Suites again.
