Family run and very friendly. WHen we needed something they were accommodating. Simple but clean, stayed there again a few days later after we climbed the fourteener., the 3 beds in our room met our needs.

Love that its a family owned place, yes it could use a little updating but thats also part of the charm. Beds were decent, while there was some noise from the road that was expected as it's on the major stretch through town. The family that runs it is super nice, and they were helpful throughout our stay. There is...

It's been awhile since I've given a place a "poor" rating on TripAdvisor but I feel it is warranted here and I need to warn unsuspecting future travelers. A friend and I needed a place to stay for a Mt Antero climb the next morning. My friend graciously found the Topaz Lodge and treated me to stay here. When you...

I actually prefer older, American-operated motels over the new chains. This one rates low for me due to the high price in relation to the condition of the property & furnishings. Would stay here again, but only as a last resort.

On of the things that I really enjoy about Colorado is the abundance of independently owned places like this. The prices are right and if you just want a room for the night, then it fits the bill. Bed was okay; at this price range all the mattresses are firm and i'm more of a plush gal. Could use some...

My girlfriend and I stayed at this outdated overpriced ummm motel? The room is very very outdated and the bed was sooooo uncomfortable it was sagged out worse than the back of an overworked mule. I will definitely pay a little more next time I pass through buena vista for a piece of mind. Like I say if there's vacancies...

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. We stayed in room #1. It was absolutely terrible. This room was right next to the highway which meant non stop traffic noise the WHOLE time. As there is no air conditioning, we had to keep the windows open (no noise buffer). It was actually difficult to even open the windows....

By the looks of the place, it was built in the 60's and hasn't been touched since. The bed reminded me of my great grandmother's ... It was hard as a a rock, with linens that are stereotypical of the no-tell motels that you see on horror movies. The room also smelled heavy of febreeze, which I suspect was used...

After over 24 hours of driving without sleep, and a lot of it stuck on winding mountain roads, we had to sleep. The car wasn't going to work. This was the first city we came to. And this was the only place with a vacancy. The owner/staff(?) Behind the desk. But, other than that there was a shower, toilet, to...
