We came here in the rainy season but were very lucky with the weather. Do not be afraid of the bumby road, but a 4x4 is definitely not a luxury. You need to see this as a part of your adventure. It took us only 20 minutes to get up the hill. When arrived very nice welcomed with a drink....

This hotel is amazing, probably one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed in. The drive from San Jose is approaching four hours but more than worth it. I would recommend you rent a 4 x 4 as the road to this hotel is a little rough. The hotel is about ten minutes drive from the beautiful Rio Celeste...

I visited this hotel mid OCT 2015 and was really impressed about the whole experience. It's a guilty pleasure worth visiting, so here's my TOP 3 about the hotel: 1- FOOD AT THE REST: simply delicious! Great portions. Latin fusion menu. Don't be afraid to try anything 2- THE ROOM: huge! Top of its class. Nice terrace for an afternoon...

Loved it sooooo much !! We were super impressed by the staff and by the surroundings of the hotel. We were literally in the middle of the forest with lots of privacy (since it was our honeymoon). The rooms are very clean the staff always makes sure of it. About the food.....ohhhhhh the food !! It was excellent, really top...

This hotel really is a hideaway. It is in the middle of the rainforest miles from the nearest village. You have access to the hiking trails to the Rio Celeste river. We did the hanging bridges tour which was excellent. Our guide knew so much about birds. We also did the hike to the waterfall which was 9km if you...

The Rio Celeste Hideaway Hotel was a beautiful discovery deep inside Tenorio National Park. The hotel was walking distance to the National Park where an abundance of hiking trails to the waterfall are at your fingertips (don't expect to swim in the waterfall or river). The hotel itself was very comfortable with Asian influences and rustic Costa Rican flair. The...

firstly make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle before trying to get there. There are 10k of unmade roads up some steep inclines. We were on our honeymoon. the setting is delightful, thermally heating swimming pools, chalets that feel they are within the jungle. Take the nature trails down to the river, well worth it. We were there for 4...

We thought the driver had lost his way for the last 45 min before we arrived at the very elegant Rio Celeste Hideaway Hotel. After driving though ranches, small homes and forest the hotel appeared. The outdoor koi pond, carved mahogany bar and sitting area adjoined the registration. The path to our cabana was beautifully landscaped and exotic birds wandered...

We found this place while browsing Groupon and decided to give it a go, and what a great decision it was. Getting here was a little tricky; we came up from LA Fortuna via 720, and Route 4 and signage is next to zero. We used Google maps, and had to navigate a lot based on the odometer. We had...
