We are a family-owned, vintage hotel with a western theme. The Buff is your base camp for adventure and a great place to relax after a long day hiking, biking and exploring the sites of the Pikes Peak region. Located on a popular designated bike route connecting Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs, we are in close proximity to countless miles of biking and hiking trails at the base of Pikes Peak, and are less than a mile from the majestic Garden of the Gods Park, voted the #1 Park in the U.S. and #2 in the world on Trip Advisor. Our rooms currently are nothing fancy. We purchased the property in June 2016 and are working to renovate. Our first suite renovation to a bicycle-themed, bicycle-friendly, group suite that sleeps 5 - 11 people with a kitchen, family room and private yard is now complete and available to rent. Other rooms sleep from 1 - 6 people and range from $75 for a single Queen to $145 for group suites with kitchens and $159 for our king hot tub suites.

The young lady at the front desk was very nice. It was 37 degrees outside and not much warmer inside the cabin. Space heater in room quit after 1 hour and would not work again until 7 AM. Tried the A/C unit to see if it would also heat. No help. Front desk closed at 8 pm. N

No Spit and Polish place, but very clean and the variety of things to do near there and the staff make it my favorite place to stay near Colorado springs! Attended a reunion there this past weekend. The service was personal beyond anything I have ever experienced. Tori (the ne

The staff was friendly & helpful. We were impressed with the total remodel and cyclist friendly decor. Our unit had a full kitchen with living room, bedroom & ample closet space. It is close to the Garden of the Gods & bike trails. Great for the health minded or nature loving tr

The folks at Buffalo Lodge were very considerate to us. We needed a late check out but then didn't get back in time. They actually waited for us to get back, and kept their housekeeping staff there, so they could clean the room and we wouldn't have to pay for the night, even thou

The decoration is outdated and the beds are the worst we had out of a 3 week ride from San Diego to Denver.
In term of safety, the electric plug close to the kitchen sink.... scary !
In the bathroom, no place to put our toilet bags, we had to put them on the floor.
The tub... D

Do the rooms have hair dryers?
Hello all, just seeing this string. Sorry. We do have hair dryers available for use from the front desk, but the hotel we purchased in June didn't come with them in the rooms. We are working on improving amenities and renovations over the winter to include hairdryers in all of the rooms. We now have coffee pots in all of the rooms, but hope guests will continue to join us in the lodge for morning coffee before heading out. We also will make every effort to ensure a great stay for our guests so yes, if you need anything to make your stay better, please let us know.

It is probably strange seeing someone from Colo. Springs asking a question. I would like to know if you have facilities for the disabled? My Mom passed away a year and a half ago so my 93 year old Dad moved in with us. The lower level of our house does not have a shower so he would go upstairs to shower. He got sick a couple of months ago and is unable to climb the stairs. We are trying to find a reasonable hotel room to rent so he can shower every other week. Right now we cannot afford to renovate our lower level. The reviews on your hotel make me think that you would understand our predicament. Please let me know if you have disabled facilities. We do have a shower chair than we can bring. Thanks, Judy Cutter
The owners and staff are SO helpful, I would call them directly and see what you could work out. Good luck! Another suggestion is: do you have a YMCA or other workout facility close by. Joining on a monthly basis may work also.
