We had such an amazing time at Glen Eyrie! The room was very nice and spacious, breakfast was included, and delicious! We did the scavenger hunt package and had so much fun looking for the clues. There is nothing bad to say about the visit! We loved touring the castle, watching deer and wild turkeys run around the grounds, shopping in the bookstore, walking the hiking trails, and enjoying the breathtaking views!!! Everyone was very nice and hospitable. We plan to stay longer on our next trip to Colorado.

Hotel's Favourite
We are Springs residents who enjoy a wonderful home in the mountains, but desired a night away without traveling too far. If you are in a retreat-frame of mind, this destination is superb. The grounds are sensational, the castle is amazing and the facilities exude an old-fashioned charm that is tough to find anywhere else. There's no TVs or big screens, hot tubs or swimming pools (and we can enjoy those amenities), but Glen Eyrie offers other things - like peace and quiet and timelessness. We've traveled all across the country, lots of places around the world, and Glen Eyrie ranks up with the best. Of a dozen posts or so, this is probably my 1st 5-star rating. Glen Eyrie might not be a spot for the kids, but its superb for thoughtful, reflective adults or couples seeking time close together (without the interruptions of day-to-day life).

Stayed at the Big Horn Lodge on a personal retreat. Room was clean, well-stocked, and convenient. The property was everything that I needed it to be --- quiet, peaceful, and the perfect place to make a big decision in my life. Saw 31 wild turkeys and more bighorn sheep than I could count (including babies).

We stayed for two nights in the castle, which is enough to cover the highlights of the property. We had an afternoon tea in the castle, Music Room. The room is very nice with design that brings the good ambience. The food is ok. They did not serve traditional afternoon tea snack, like finger sandwiches or petite cakes, as we expected. Tea is good but it was tea bags, instead of loos leaf. We also took a tour of castle. It was very nice experience. The volunteer guide is friendly and knowledgeable. We tried its restaurant food for dinner. The food was great. We called to order and they said we could pick up in about 35 mins. When we arrived to pick up, it took another 15 mins. We think due to COVID, the food is served in paper/plastic box with plastic utensil and for picking up only. We also tried food and drinks at the cafe in Carriage House. Panini and smoothies are really good, and staff is helpful and friendly. Our room has nice characters with mountain views. However, at night there are noises from furnace and water pipes behind the wall, we think. That's kind of keeping us awake all night. There are a couple things that we are disappointed. - No recycle trash bin. There are lots of plastic bottles, plastic cups, paper boxes, and paper used. All trash goes to one place. - Outdated hiking map. We went on hiking and were confused with the map we got from front desk. We got help from one staff and he told us the map is outdated and some trails are not exist. If the map is incorrect, you shouldn't give it to the guest. Overall, it's great experience. It's a nice place for relaxing with great views.

We loved having tea in an upper floor setting on a weekday.(2/24/21). It was a belated Valentine for my wife, and we were not disappointed! The "goodies" were more like a light lunch than just your typical tea time. Butternut squash soup, nice canapes like the Sesame Seared Ahi tuna, smoked turkey on rye, a Parmesan souffle with wild mushrooms and pancetta, and 3 desserts. Our server brought us samples of other teas at no additional charge, and was very accommodating. We will be back, perhaps for an overnight stay. We did a self tour of the castle just to check out the amazing rooms & suites.
