We were fortunate enough to get to spend a couple nights for a business event in this exceptional, historic hotel. Wow! It's not easy to overwhelm me with a hotel room, but the Broadmoor certainly did! Everything about it was comfortable, classy and well done, suitable to the stellar location and views. I did the free hotel history/art tour (offered occasionally--check w/concierge or daily hotel event listing), which was very informative. There isn't enough time to cover all the history and works, so they have additional information available. They offer a shuttle from the hotel to various places. We used it to get to a hiking area. There are multiple restaurants and shops on the extensive grounds.

It's the Broadmoor - what else needs to be said?! Our room was grand, overlooking the lake and the rocky mountains beyond. If you let them know you are celebrating a special event, complementary champagne is delivered to the room, and everyone - from the entry gate guard, front desk staff, valet parking staff, doorman, to the luggage porter- extends their good wishes like they meant it. Very comfortable, enjoyable and memorable experience. It is expensive - it is the Broadmoor.

This establishment is one of the absolute best accommodations that I have stayed at. Wonderful elegance that creates such a comfortable relaxed atmosphere the minute you walk into your cottage or room! Beautiful views coupled with exquisitely tastefully decorated rooms and service that is unsurpassed makes your stay so enjoyable you can't wait until your next visit!

This hotel is everything everyone else had said and more. The hallway with all of the celebrities of the past was a real stroll down memory lane. Even when it's not Christmas I highly recommend it, however at Christmas it's a magical time for both the young and old. I was at a conference recently at the Broadmoor and the food and cocktails were outstanding. The rooms and housekeeping staff were way above average and the workers also exceed all expectations. I can't recommend this place enough although check on prices. It cost more but is worth it for even one night.

Probably the most beautiful hotel I ever stayed at. Anyone who has a chance to visit the Broadmoor will feel like they have been carried away in a fairy tale. It literally feels like a slice of Europe in the U.S. The western art collection was beyond impressive. Our brunch in the Penrose room and dinners at Summit and Restaurant 1858 were phenomenal. This resort deserves its AAA Five-Diamond Rating. I can't recall a kinder staff. The hotel is idyllic at Christmastime, but I believe it would be equally magical in summer. There is so much to do nearby. Yet, you never have to leave the resort. Seven Falls, Pikes Peak and the Zoo are right there. You need transportation to the Air Force Chapel, Garden of the Gods, and Manitou which are about 20 minutes away. For those who may not know, the Pikes Peak railway is closed until 2021. If you drive instead, there is a lot of construction at the top of the peak for a new visitors center. The Air Force chapel is also closed until 2022 for renovation, but you can still tour the grounds and see the exterior.

I feel that is your own personal decision. I don't tip everyone but but I feel if they went above and beyond I will tip a couple of dollars.

Check in and check out times please.
Ditto. I think check-in is at 4:00pm. Being a five-star resort, they might be able to accommodate if you need earlier/later time, based on room availability. Best to phone them. They have always done their best to accommodate my different requests.
