Stayed here a number of years. New tenant managers were angry and hostile. Not open to complaints. The cabin was horrible. Dirty, filthy carpet. Bed smelled of urine. Bathroom was awful. Kitchen nasty. Owners should know that there staff were rude and openly hostile!

We and our grown children traveled from 3 different states to meet up at Cottonwood Cove. We reserved 2 cabins for 9 adults and 2 children. One of them, #15, was updated and very nicely appointed, but #16 was a bit more run-down. We were told that the cabins were "rustic" so we were not expecting more. Since we're all...

Cottonwood Cove Restaurant offers a rustic, warm place to eat and enjoy your company with out distractions--the area has no cell nor wifi service. <smile> The food is well prepared by a staff that is friendly and attentive. The featured catfish was cooked perfectly--crunchy corn meal crust and soft, delicious catfish fillets. The hush puppies were obviously hand formed and...

The staff at this resort are excellent!! We were staying elsewhere but wanted to take a trail ride. We had two fairly experienced riders, and two riders who had never ridden. We were attempting to book last minute because of an issue with another reservation. They bent over backwards to make sure that we got on a one hour trail...

Very cute quaint space with beautiful views and friendly staff. Lots of things to do and everything close by! Quite, horseback riding, rafting, hiking, shopping, seeing the mines! I will definitely go back! It's only open during the summer so next summer I may be back!

My wife and I come to stay at cottonwood cove every year. We love the rustic charm of the resort. The setting in a grove of mature cottonwoods next to the Rio Grande river is amazing. There was a little visitor waiting to greet us. I posted a photo of him. If you want a Colorado experience that has horses,...

First, location listed as South fork, but is way closer to Creede. Noting fancy, but fits in with the rural charm of Creede. Breakfast buffet is a plus, eggs, a meat (great bacon), pancakes, and of course biscuits and gravy. There is basic TV and wifi, no cell service, but selection encourages one to unplug and hook up instead with...

We held our family reunion here and already booked it for the next one. If you are looking for a classic cabin experience this is the place. Each cabin is unique, with some more modern than others, and assorted sizes too. While you do have cable TV, you can truly unplug as cell service only works up the road and...

We stayed two nights at Cottonwood Cove on our way to Lake City. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We went horseback riding and rafting and had a great time! There were 14 of us total and every time we ate at the restaurant they gave us our very own room in the back so we could always sit...

We had driven by Cottonwood Cove en route to Lake City, CO for the last 15 years and always said "we should stop there". Well, we're so glad we finally did! Our family of five had an amazing time rafting, horseback riding, and of course, eating at the amazing restaurant. If you frequent the SW Colorado mountains, or just want...
