My husband and I have stayed at the Silver Star several times over the years, but this was the best trip ever! We always enjoyed the original owners, but the new owner has really taken this B&B up a notch. Sparkling clean, lots of room, free range of the house including fantastic deck with some of the best views of... More

Silver Star's location is ideal -- walk out the front door onto a forest path -- sit on the back deck and overlook the beautiful valley. The atmosphere is serene. Sue, the owner, treats you as an honored friend. Great experience. Will definitely make this a stopping place on trips through Colorado.

The Silver Star B&B in Crestone is incredible. I had stayed there last year and it was also wonderful... this year, it has a new proprietor and I was a little concerned because part of what made it so awesome was the people who own the property. Well... this year it was every bit and even more amazing with the... More

What a delightful place to stay. The view of the San Luis valley was gorgeous, and the Sangre de Christo mountains at the front of the B&B was breathtaking. Sue Ruston, the proprietress, was wonderful. She made us feel so at home, so accomdating. Everything was clean and well kept. I would stay there again and again.

Stayed at the Silver Star as part of a retreat. The room was clean and bright. Beautiful view. It was located within a few miles of the various places we toured. Sue Ruston was a wonderful hostess and helped everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Great fun and I would definitely go back again!

I celebrated 5 days of my life in Crestone at the Silver Star B&B this past week. It was 'wonder'full!!! If you like beautiful valley views, humming birds visiting you while sipping your morning coffee and taking a hike up the hill to an alluring and reflective spring water stream, then this is your place in Crestone. Escape while you... More

I was a participant in the "Your Next Step" retreat with Marilyn Harper (http://adironndaspiritualhealer.com/) at the Silver Star in June. Although I was staying at another B&B, the Silver Star hosted the retreat and most of the participants (the retreat was so popular, I was one of the overflow :) I was so pleased with the B&B. It has stunning... More

Imagine driving slowly up a long hill, and not sure you're on the right road? This B and B impressed me greatly: it was the perfect spot to stay at for my visit to Crestone, Colorado. Sue Ruston was a grand hostess, and had a treasure of information to share: both locally and insightfully. My room was a delight, and... More

Colorado is a great place, but you better contact this B&B before you book it! We were looking forward to our first Bed & Breakfast experience, expecting a bed AND breakfast..........but what we got was ....well, not expected, to say the least. A "housesitter" greeted us dressed in sweats covered with cat hair and asking if we had received the... More

We are the new owners as of 3-1-11. We have made many new changes . You will now have access to a self serve breakfast in a big kitchen with the best views of the valley or sit on front deck and enjoy the 14,000 foot peaks. We are sure your experience with the new owners will be much different.... More
