Maria gave exceptional customer service for me today! Being a travel agent i book a ton of rooms everywhere and sometimes front desk can be tricky to work with but not Maria!

She went above and beyond for my needs and honestly she was super sweet and took care of everything in a timely manner. More front desk agents should learn from her as she was the hero of the day. Highly recommend this hotel for personal or business travel. Ive booked a group here before and my individual reservation and everyone is exceptionally nice to work with and I couldn't ask for a better hotel partner.

the hotel is very close to 16th Street Mall and near to the train station, making it very convenient. however, the blankets in the room are extremely thin (not comforter but instead sheets) which aren't suitable for the cold weather experienced in Denver. furthermore, the toilet seat of the room i stayed in on the top (21st) floor had suspicious stains from previous guests that weren't removed, so i would say they have some way to go in terms of cleanliness and presentation. staff were friendly however and the hotel restaurant served decent food.

Dear, outroqi I was very disheartened to hear you found your accommodations less than perfectly spotless and didn't receive a proper service. We put a great deal of effort into making sure our guest rooms are meticulously cleaned; I'm so sorry that your room was not satisfactorily serviced. I've discussed your review with my housekeeping staff. Changes to procedures and checks have been made. Please join us again, I'm sure you'll find your accommodations exceed your expectations.

We booked online and when we arrived we got a total that was $200 more than it said it would be online. I’m furious, if I was to only bring the amount that was said online I wouldn’t be staying in this hotel right now. On top of that I ordered room service and had to call 3 times about my order and when I went downstairs my order was never put in. S.N. The snacks available in the lobby are completely overpriced I spent $40 on a few things I could have went to CVS and got for around $10, I just don’t know my way around this town. We were supposed to be on vacation for our anniversary and it made our time a lot more difficult. Other than that I really like the view and the room was nice.

Hello Jay, Thank you for leaving a review. It's nice to know that you liked the room and the view. We're so sorry that you didn't enjoy your anniversary stay with us. Our goal is always to provide a quality stay at the best possible value for our guests. We aren't sure what you mean about paying an additional $200. Would you be willing to contact robyn.dibble@sonesta.com so that we can get additional information about this issue?

We are staying at the Sonesta Denver for 4 nights. The value is good. The room looks quite lovely. It was well cleaned and sanitized. We were disappointed there was no blanket on the bed just sheets and a thin blanket. It was a great location. I was surprised to find out that the pool was an outdoor pool when I went to use it on a rainy evening. We were surprised to understand there was no maid service unless you requested it but they didn’t tell you that upfront. Then we requested it and it didn’t happen as scheduled. We came back a second day of no maid service. I had to work with the front desk and housekeeping and gather my towels and my trash and tell them exactly what I wanted. Then they ran out of regular caffeinated coffee for the Keurig after the first day and only had hazelnut and decaf. When we tried to get them to perform some kind of recovery action such as comping us free coffee from the restaurant they finally did that not without a hassle. The restaurant space looks lovely but the breakfast we ate there was poorly cooked. Disappointed to have to this happen when you want to get away and relax.

Our second Crowne Plaza Hotel for this trip and thankfully they have redeemed the previous poor performance of CP Seattle.

As a IHG Platinum member we were immediately identified, offered a room upgrade and given 2 drink vouchers for the bar.

The hotel is welcoming and the open fireplace was great in the minus 13 degree weather.

The buffet breakfast was a very good standard with plenty of options. Cappuccinos were served as standard.

The hotel is within easy walking distance of the mall which has free buses and plenty of shops and restaurants.

The Crowne Plaza is located in the heart of downtown Denver. Just off the 16th street mall. A half block from the Hard Rock. In walking distance to convention center and stadiums. Rooms are reasonably prices around the $100 mark (give or take). I highly recommend staying above the 15th floor and requesting a view of the mountains (worth the extra couple bucks - or a FREE upgrade if your an IHG member). The staff were courteous. There's a nice bar/restaurant in the building. They do not offer a FREE breakfast - but you can get breakfast at the restaurant (or there are plenty of places nearby). They do stock the rooms with Lavazza coffee which is a nice touch.

Dear, MatthewHundley I was delighted to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay at the Crowne Plaza Denver. Thank you for mentioning the great value for the dollar about your stay with us. Even with the wide vary of amenities we offer (fridge in every room, free Wi-Fi, fitness center, roof-top pool and excellent location), we still feel we're able to offer extremely competitive pricing and I'm glad you appreciated that. This place is a shady rip off, I booked and paid for a hotel room at this location over a year ago when if was the Crown Plaza, due to Covid restrictions and shut downs my plans needed to change and I tried to move my reservation multiple times and finally even tried to cancel it all together. But according to the hotel management I needed to go through the booking website I original used to get the room, that was IHG, but to my surprise IHG informed me it was up to the Sonesta hotel management to make the changes. I have been dealing with this bunch of incompetent rude shysters for over 1 month now and I have given up. I will take the loss on this and move on but hopefully I can help anyone else if they are thinking about using IHG or staying a the Sonesta, Please stay away from this place at costs if possible.

My boyfriend and I came to your hotel for a “Valentine’s Day” package. From the second we walked into hotel we were greeted promptly and felt very taken care of. We headed to our room to find champagne and strawberries with a hand written greeting card from Brecken Clifton which was very thoughtful and kind. We had our 4 course meal which was absolutely phenomenal. Our waiter (chuck) was incredibly helpful and friendly. We went on to have a couple of drinks at the bar which was also great service. Breakfast the next day was delicious as well. Definitely had an amazing valentines weekend thanks to your staff and accommodations. Will absolutely be back again! Kudos to you and your staff for making us feel special and as if we were your only guest.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sonesta Denver Downtown over the long 4th of July weekend (arrived on Wednesday and departed on Sunday). The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

It is fairly close to the convention center, so if you are heading to a convention, this would be a convenient, affordable option. We went to a Rockies game and that was about a 20 minute walk to get there - however we saw a lot of people on the scooters so that is an option.

The parking was around $50 per day, but it seemed like that was pretty average for the area. There isn't valet parking though, which we normally would use, but it was easy to get in and out of the garage and the elevators went straight from the garage to your hotel floor (I've been in plenty of hotels where that is not the case).

The elevators did seem to be on the slow side but it seemed like they were all working. We checked out on Sunday morning around 9:00 and we did have to wait about 7-10 minutes for an elevator that wasn't already full - we were on the 10th floor and two elevators stopped that were completely full before we were able to get on one.

We enjoyed ourselves at the pool on Thursday afternoon, but when we tried again on Saturday afternoon (around 3pm), there were no chairs available and there was a DJ taking up premium space when this is a fairly small pool area to begin with. It also appeared as if the pool area was used for the Saturday brunch, so my guess is that it was off limits for swimming all of Saturday morning.

There is a refrigerator and coffee maker in the room but no microwave. The housekeeping staff was able to provide additional coffee pods whenever we saw them in the hallway. We were told that housekeeping was by request only, so I was a bit surprised when I came back to the room on Saturday afternoon and they had been there and made the bed, took out the trash, etc.

Overall, I think this is a good option for the downtown Denver area and would recommend it.

They will nickel and dime you for everything there is a $250 deposit for each room not just the reservation. Water starts at $3.50, there is no microwave, and breakfast is like $20 for a plate. There are better places downtown to stay, that have better rooms, parking, and restaurants in and around

Yes the area is right downtown but the homeless population makes it very problematic, streets are always dirty alot of panhandling around that area but its only a block from the 16th street mall and a few from the capital. But that's also where there is a big homeless camp is. Becareful
