The Lumber Baron Inn is an elegant mansion that is being restored and is no longer a B&B. Its location is convenient to downtown Denver and the Interstate highways. Unfortunately, the main floor was emptied of its furniture and there was also no seating in our guest room. We had expected period décor in the common areas and attention to...

My boyfriend and I attended the "Kill the Whistle blower" show at Lumber Baron this December 2015. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience. First, doors open EXACTLY at 6pm. We were not sure when to arrive and were much too early and had to wait. Once in they are not super organized about check in but we got checked in...

We were looking forward to our stay and spent a long time choosing the right B & B. We've been waiting to write this review. The whole main floor of the house was crammed with tacky casino items . Lets face it, people stay in a historic B & B for the architecture and to travel back in time. If...

The charm that this place once held are now gone. Breakfast is gone, only a small mention on their website. The rooms seem dingy now as if no one cares. The furnishing that once filled the place are now gone. The inn-keeper doesn't seem to care much, it's sad.

We were in Denver on a mini-honeymoon and found a Groupon discount for the Murder Mystery dinner show. It was well worth it. The historic mansion was absolutely gorgeous, the food was delicious and the show was a riot! I highly recommend it for a great night out.

I have been waiting to write this as frankly I found the experience a very peculiar one & wanted to be fair. I had to attend a business event in Denver and needed accommodations but couldn't justify the $400 per night + rates in downtown then I found this. It's a beautiful mansion by all accounts but is for sale...

I am reviewing the Hunted House Hunt at the Lumber Baron Inn only. My Boyfriend and I attended this Halloween event at the Lumber Baron and from start to the end was a hilariously good time. I really didn't know what to expect and was afraid it was going to be seriously corny but I was pleasantly surprised that it...

The current owners, Walter and Julia have lovingly restored this gem of a Queen Anne Mansion, inside and out, which was a tremendous accomplishment!. We arrived and met the friendly staff person, who gave us a tour, which we loved. We were disappointed to hear that they no longer served breakfast, and that apparently includes no coffee in the mourning....

In July of 2015, we were lucky and able to get a same day reservation to stay in this labor of love. We stayed in a clean, comfortable room above the front parlor, and enjoyed the claw foot bath tub, and lovely fireplace, amazing ceiling work, a very comfortable bed, and we glad to have a small toilet, and a...

The mansion itself and our room were quite nice. We enjoyed the lovingly restored touches in the room and the jacuzzi tub, and the room was comfortable, close to where we needed to be, and unique. It seems like they've given up on the service end though. We didn't see or meet a single staff member during our visit- just...
