Clean , quite, comfortable rooms and friendly front desk. We rented 6 rooms and all were very pleased. The front has a covered porch and chairs to relax on. The restaurant next door, The Ponderosa has a wonderful breakfast. It is located within walking distance to many good restaurants and is across the road from the river.

We weren't expecting to find a good place to stay in such a small town, so the Dolores Mountain Inn was a pleasant surprise. Our king room was pretty basic, but we had a very comfortable bed, a mini fridge, and a microwave. Lars was very friendly, and we enjoyed the free coffee the next morning. This room was probably... We ended our late summer 2015 CO road trip back in a favorite town, Dolores. It was a last minute change and we called and got rooms here. Great rates, super friendly and helpful owner Lars took care of us and the rooms are spotless! Cleanliness is top priority for us and the rooms did not disappoint. These are what... More

We had a room for two with two queen beds. The room was impeccably clean! There is a microwave, refrigerator, wide screen TV with cable and HBO,free internet, etc. Very comfortable and quiet. We had a room off the main road so it was very quiet. The owner is very nice and helpful. They have no breakfast but they have good... More

I've stayed her many times throughout the years while exploring southwest Colorado. I've always been happy with everything and the rooms were just right. The owner, Lars, is as friendly as they come. He's a wealth of knowledge on the history of Dolores, things to do, and just about anything else you may have questions about. It has the hometown,... More

This is a good, basic hotel in a small town in western Colorado. It has a very nice guest laundry and the rooms were spacious and well-equipped and clean. The restaurant was right next door to the Ponderosa (don't believe this is the chain) Restaurant, which was quite good. There is no breakfast, however, you can eat at the Ponderosa... More

We arrived and was greeted by the owner. He had just made some popcorn and I jokingly asked if he delivered that to the rooms. He said he would !!! He made us feel like old friends and we laughed and chatted during our check in. The room was very clean and well taken care of. The next morning at... More

I stay at the DMI when i am in the Dolores area. Very Clean. Well run. Basic and comfortable. In the center of town and easy access. Great stop if you are traveling, if you push trough to Durango or to Telluride hotels are 4 or 5 times as costly for the same type room. Will recommend to my friends.

Lars, will make you feel right at home, and loves to talk. Be sure to check out his little shop, full of Native American pottery and other items of interest. Rooms are clean and comfortable, what else would you want ? This will be my 'go to' motel when traveling in the area. Restaurants are a problem in the little... More
