The front desk person was helpful, great sense of humor, and ready to give us information about Burlington, Colorado. This is place is very, very clean! We had a room with a full kitchenette, was clean, cool, and quiet. If you're looking for rest and away from Interstate noise, this will do. Close to restaurants.

Unbelievable location and amazing service. When we book our reservations online we specially request for non-smoking rooms and we're lucky to be assigned one that's in the one storey building. That's helpful because we don't have anybody upstairs disturbing our one night's sleep before we go on the road trip in the morning. Very comfortable large room modern and clean. Also very large bathroom and bright. Breakfast is available from 6 to 9am

Stayed here for two nights either side of riding the Durango and Silverton Railroad and overnighting in Silverton. Obviously we didn't get the refurbished rooms either night we stayed. Both were pretty dingy, dark and very dated. The second room (115) must have had a faulty thermostat because the A/C stayed on all night long but didn't do anything just made a noise. The TV speaker was blown so impossible to watch or listen to anything. All I can say is it is convenient for the railroad and downtown and relatively low cost compared to others in the area but would not go back.

Decent & well priced place to stay in Durango. Rehabbed older property in good repair. Good, not great Wifi. Plenty of hot water. Nice beds. Scuffed up furniture. We’d stay again. Ask for a non-connecting room—the connecting door are original and not sound-proof.

A price of $156 was ridiculous for this place that was dirty with noise and nefarious people everywhere. Room doors closing sounding like bombs going off and people pounding the floors from above, not restufil. They took a hundred dollar deposit on top of the price paid? Rationed the breakfast for guests... small paper bag with a miniature granola bar, miniature powder doughnut, miniature can of apple juice.

Sir, are you sure you have the right hotel? We do not offer any of the food items you described. Additionally, we're not taking additional deposits except under specific circumstances, and that deposit is always $200.

I booked this room several months in advance, and asked for a king bed room on the top floor. When we arrived, Emma gave us a 2 Queen bed, and said that they did not have King beds on top floor, and there were no king rooms left, but we should have been given the option of a king bed or top floor.
The room was clean, had a microwave and fridge, coffeemaker, large vanity outside the bathroom, clean linens and towels, nice amenities.
Cons - we did not get a king bed room - The showerhead was fixed and water shot straight out, I couldn't reach the handles without getting my hair wet.
Breakfast was average, with Fresh Waffles, fresh fruit, Boiled Eggs, Pastries, Cereals, yogurts, Juices, and coffee - No bread for toast.

The room is somewhere between 77 and 80 degrees in June. They have a fan in here so the KNOW. They also have a sign on the wall saying that having 77 degrees is ok as it’s plus or minus 5 degrees from 72. The phone doesn’t work either so the front desk doesn’t have to hear it.

We had a queen room which was clean but somehow sort of grim. Maybe the fact that the room was quite small and cramped, maybe the darkish color combinations. The room was very clean which was a real plus, and the bedding was comfortable. The queen room made for close quarters for two people. Only one luggage rack was provided leaving us to put one suitcase on a chair, something I don't like to do. It's an older property. The breakfast during covid consisted of packaged muffins, cereal, milk, orange or apple juice, and coffee. Items were laid out on tables, spread apart, take-and-go. I don't know how the breakfast might compare with non-covid times. Apparently $100+ is the new $60+, but Durango is an expensive place to stay in the summer so this can't be avoided.

Was impressed with the Econolodge - family owned and very dog friendly (only a $10 charge and a pet area with bags on the side of the hotel). Bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. Extra touches at the breakfast buffet. All the staff were pleasant and provided excellent customer service -from making a reservation to check out.

The hotel receptionist, Querida, made our stay the BEST. We looked all over for a hotel room, when we called Querida answered the phone (many hotels didn't). She assured us there was a room and that they had non-perishable breakfast. We had a quick check-in, she let us use the jacuzzi past the close time for 15 minutes because we arrive late, and she let the kids get their breakfast food at night, so we would have it in the hotel room already in the morning. We had an early start so this was so helpful! It made our evening and morning so smoothly! She had lots of tips for the area, and called our room after we settled in to see if we needed anything else!
