Do not stay here. My husband and I stayed in the Hotel. It is beautiful on the outside and in the lobby area. The rooms are quaint and in the era of days of old and the bathrooms are old fixtures as well. This did not bother us, we embraced the adventure. The staff were rude, unhelpful, there was a...

Gorgeous hotel with an amazing history.. On a recent visit to Glenwood, My friend and I had the pleasure of meeting "Mel" by pure chance, in the lobby of this magnificent hotel.. An amazing employee of the Colorado Hotel who exemplifies the term "customer service". We were going to explore on our own, however Mel made this visit very special.....

The pictures on the website make this hotel look like a 5 star hotel but then when you get there I felt like I was at a 1 star hotel. Housekeeping woke us up at 9:00am knocking on the door, the shower was so small the shower curtain touches you the whole time you are in there, the ceilings still...

The first hotel in Glenwood Springs. Built in the grand Italianate style of the 1800's silver mining era. Has retained a lot of the old style, but with modern amenities although no AirCon. High ceilings, lots of woodwork, windows that open. President Teddy Roosevelt stayed there during hunting trips. One story says the Teddy bear first came into existence when he...

We have enjoyed this hotel on all of our previous visits. It is a grand old structure and full of character. We haven't minded the lack of air conditioning ... who wants that in the great Colorado mountains anyway? Small bath? Not a problem. Come down the staircase to that beautiful lobby and it is worth it. This time, however,...

We enjoyed our visit to the Hotel Colorado. The hotel is a little run down but that gives it some charm. The current management won't talk about any of the haunted ghost stories but you can google them if interested. Nice location within walking distance of many Glenwood Springs locations.

We decided to stay at the Hotel Colorado during our visit to Glenwood Springs because of its central location and the history associated with it. I was told "it's the thing to do." The location was convenient - walking distance from the main street in town, restaurants, etc, as well as the Glenwood Hot Springs pool and the Yampah Vapor...

I used to come to the HC with my parents when I was a kid and haven't been back in more years than I care to admit. Given some of the reviews I've read, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I wanted to revisit a favored vaca spot from my childhood. I was not disappointed. First off, this is...

My family and I always stay here during the spring break season. Old, rustic and historic. Supposedly haunted by friendly spirits, but I didn't experience anything this stay. Good restaurant and bar area. LOVE the front courtyard at night with firepits and decorative lights. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff is friendly.

What a wonderful place! Hotel built in 1893 and all the original woodwork and touches are great. Rooms are smaller, which is to be expected, but very clean. Wide hallways and antiques sitting in the hall. Was very quiet and a treat to stay there. Would definitely return.
