The hotel has great history and is interesting. It definitely needs updating - furnishings are just old - not historic. The bed was too soft for us, but we really like firm mattresses - it did seem to be new. On the other hand, the room was clean and large. All the staff were very pleasant and accommodating and the...

I can't say enough about how friendly and helpful all the staff was. The hotel is historic, and the rooms show it. Rugs and wallpaper were old, as well as bathrooms. Not a luxury stay if that is what you are looking for. The price was good and the location was within walking distance to all we needed.

Last week, my wife and I went to Glenwood Springs for our anniversary. We stayed at the historic Hotel Colorado, which dates to 1893. Presidents and many other celebrities have also stayed there. We had a fantastic stay. The Hotel is old, but has been completely renovated. Although the hotel is not air conditioned, we were very comfortable with a...

I booked my trip for March 2016 spring break, then had family come into town, so I had to change my reservation, which Tripadvisor says you have to do through the hotel. It took me multiple phone calls and 4 days to finally reach a person who would change the dates to July. My grandmother just passed and her viewing...

Room 202 is where all the cool kids stay. Trust me. Big room with a living room private dining room wet bar with refrigerator and freezer master bedroom and a bathroom you can'rollerskate in. It's also the closest way to the bar. I have never had anything less than a great time at the Hotel Colorado.

The history is fascinating. The have "Teddy" Roosevelt bears for sale since he visited the hotel in the early 20th century. Lobby is beautiful. They used to rent bikes for the bike trail through the canyon. The property butts up to the historic hotspring pool and is walking distance from Amtrack. Of course it doesn't have AC, it is historic....

We were thinking the Hotel Colorado would be a great place to stay for my bf's birthday. However it was the opposite of that! The staff is rude and acts like it's a chore to do something for you. With the attitude and mess of the hotel I'm surprised they can stay open. Super overpriced! Very very dated and dirty....

Right in the heart of historic Glenwood Springs, the Hotel Colorado offers a unique place to stay as a welcome change of pace from the national chains. The staff is exceptionally friendly, the courtyard is a great place to relax in the evening with a cool drink, and this hotel is where the teddy bear was invented (be sure to...

Nice old hotel. Good location. BUT--it has no air conditioning. I don't recommend staying there in the summer, as we did. Rooms are quaint but adequate as is the restaurant. Parking is a bit of a problem. Great courtyard with an outside bar. Near to the hot springs pool and restaurants and bars.

Nice historic hotel. The lobby is just beautiful. Rooms are well apportioned with nice furniture and linens. Good choice of restaurants and the bar fixed a perfect lemondrop martini. Slightly disappointed outdoor restaurant closed for special event. Missed seeing the gardens. But we had a wonderful stay!
