We traveled during July 2020 during the COVID restrictions. This was a very new modern hotel with all of the expected amenities. That includes a convenient coin laundry that was $2 per wash and $2 per dry load. They offered change up front and I was able to buy a box of detergent for a dollar.

The indoor pool was a great way to cool off during the hot July road trip. This is attached by parking lots to a new shopping center as well with all of thing things you might need on the road. COVID restrictions included less pillows than normal and a cold bagged breakfast. It is what it is. They did their very best to make our stay comfortable. The room was spotless and comfortable. The area was very safe and couldn't have been better for a travelling family.

The hotel is extremely clean and all protocol regarding COVID has been followed - you wear masks if you are within the common areas in the hotel. Obviously, this rule did not apply on TWO evenings when upon entering the lobby, a bunch of guys were sitting around, no masks, drinking beer with no consideration for those around them. It would appear, although I can't be sure, that some were staying on the 4th floor (where we were, unfortunately) - the noise and inconsiderate banging of the room entry doors was unbelievable. I did NOT complain - if these guests could do what they liked in the lobby, I am sure they felt they could be a disruptive as they wished in their rooms!

Our family booked a two bedroom suite for three nights over Labor Day weekend. The hotel is well located, but there is really no reason for a daily parking charge, as many other reviewers have mentioned. Just charge $12 more a day for the room, no one would blink at that.

Our room was well laid out but not the cleanest. The hotel is dog friendly (though we did not bring our dog) and you could see the marks on the window sills from dogs either jumping up with muddy paws or putting their muddy faces on the sills from previous stays (on both bedroom windows). Also, our room was never cleaned in the three nights. I finally asked and was told that we opted out (which I would've never done). We're frequent Marriott patrons and booked via the app. When I revisited the app it specifically states that the room will be cleaned every other day, there's no opt in or out. We should've been offered extra Marriott points or a partial refund for this inconvenience as our room desperately needed to be cleaned.

Overall, this hotel falls short of Marriott's standards and expectations. We would look for another option next time.

Thank you for your review WorldTravlerCO. We apologize for the confusion with housekeeping. Housekeeping is every other day unless you opt out. Sounds like some miscommunication led to an "opt out". We hope you will reconsider and stay with us on your next trip to Glenwood Springs. Thanks again for your review!

Charging a fee for parking in an out-of-town location where you have to drive to is ridiculous in Glenwood Springs. Stay in town at a much nicer hotel, within walking distance to restaurants and pool and YOU DON'T GET CHARGED A PARKING FEE. First time I've received a charge for parking outside of NYC. More importantly, the checkin person wasn't wearing a mask along with some of the other hotel associates. For breakfast, the food was cool, not hot, we only found one table that was clean, in fact, we didn't see anyone cleaning tables while we picked at our cold food. Our first and last time staying here and I'm a Marriott member.

Cute room. The hotel has a pool, small workout room and laundry room. Basketball court and outdoor patio area. Full sized fridge and dishwasher in our king bed room. View of the community garden and parking lot. The room had two closets and at first I was shocked there were no hangers when I peeked into the first closet. But then I found the main closet and hangers, iron and ironing board in it. Their dry cleaning services and high speed internet were not available but the laundry room and regular speed internet were fine.
What I really liked was they have two hanging bars for your towel on the wall and not a rack in the shower like some hotels do. And a hair dryer. He didn’t like the body soap and shampoo conditioner bottles. He likes bar soap. The shower had good pressure and a nice spray shower head. And an exhaust fan in the bathroom. Nice! Well lighted mirror so putting on make up was easier. The bed and pillows were comfy.
Breakfast was meh. The servers were not pleasant at all. And they don’t watch attendance to refill their offerings. You get what you get which at an hour and a half before end was pretty much nothing. Sad. Didn’t bother to leave a tip.
Parking is $12. They are pet friendly. We didn’t have time to use any amenities as we were just stopping for a night and were tired. The stay was pleasant enough and check out was easy. The front desk associate was friendly. Would stay here again.

We had a 2 bedroom suite. It was really nice having 2 bathrooms. We were on the back side if the hotel and the street traffic woke us many times. I would ask for a room facing the front next time. Dogs are allowed at $100 per stay. There is an indoor pool and do to Covid we had to make reservations. It was too cold for me, but plenty of kids didn't seem to mind. Breakfast was only served until 9. It was the same every morning consisting of really yummy muffins, oatmeal, donuts, apples, oranges, bagels and cream cheese, bottled water, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Would have also liked cereal and milk, but really not a bad variety. Parking is $12 per day. Not happy about it, but we knew this ahead of time so were expecting it. Angel at the front desk is awesome! More hotels need employees like him!

This used to be a really nice property, but cost-cutting seems to be the name of the game even when the hotel is pretty full. Of course, the lead item is the ridiculous $12 parking charge out adjacent to a large mall and a view of the train tracks. Simply a money grab. Accompanying this are a bunch of signs around the hotel and in the elevator describing it over and over again, along with the other services they aren't providing.

Since there's no housekeeping, the hallways are filled with bags of trash. Nobody seemed to be doing anything urgent to clean them up. Conclude with a poorly functioning shower coupled with a clogged drain and it's a pretty ugly way to start the day.

I booked a nice one bedroom king suite with fireplace for a "splurge" getaway and was willing to pay more than usual for the comfort. The first shock was learning they charge $12 to park. That is ludicrous to me and wasn't appreciated. The room was mostly a nice treat but the couch was extremely uncomfortable, the bedroom TV wouldn't turn on and no one answered the front desk when I called about it. (After much ado about everything, we figured out a lot of the cords in the back were unplugged.). The bathroom had a split wallpaper area just around the shower head and there were several areas in the room that were dusty. I understand Covid has changed things but, along with linens, surely there could have been some throw pillows with washable covers for the rock hard couch. I can't get over the parking charge and won't be back. It was an okay room but not at all the quality I would expect for a Marriott property.

As a loyal titanium bon voy member this was one of the worst hotels I’ve been to. Having to pay for parking is fine but when you charge me for parking and there is none available it’s a problem, proceeding to tell me that I can park wherever I can find a spot works. It definitely makes you feel nickel and dimed, additionally after parking a ways away I went to my room and then came back about an hour later when I realized I left a perishable item in my vehicle and there are at least 3 vehicles parked in the fire lane, this is unacceptable! The hotel was thrashed in most places, TVs missing in seating alcoves, doors with holes in them from non matching hardware, we had a nasty cleaning tag left in our room. The cleanliness was questionable and every hand sanitizer dispenser I tried on property was empty, completely unacceptable at the eating and coffee area. Our bed wasn’t made properly and the sheets were not where they should be. The pullout bed was awful and didn’t have proper bedding in closet.

Room 227 over the breakfast area has 2 bedroom windows and 1 living room window that are eye level with gross bird poop covered roofs and hvac units, the building facade blocks any orher light/view. Staff member begrudgingly changed our room, refusing to let us see it to make sure we weren’t getting into something worse. It was so gross, we ended up skipping breakfast there over our 4 night stay…between that and a $12 parking charge we felt ripped off. Shocked this would be considered a normal full price suite.

Hello, If you are coming in on the Amtrak, we have an agreement with Glenwood Adventure Company for shuttle service. Give them a call at least 24 hours in advance and let them know the "expected" arrival time; cost is free. If you wish to take a cab instead, 970-319-4687 is the number for Valley Taxi and it should be anywhere from a $7-$10 fare. We look forward to seeing you!
