If your looking for a quality place to stay in besutiful scenic Eastern Passage then look no further than Eastern Passage Bed and Breakfast . Outstanding service by host Mary and Albert Conrad , the feeling of belonging was akin to being made to being part of an extended family , so much so that during my stay Nova Scotia was hit by Hurricane Fiona, and with no power for 4 days my kind host ensured I had ample food and hot water for the duration. The rooms are spacious , with huge bathrooms , plenty of storage space ,a/c/ free wifi and a t.v. Breakfast is inc' in the cost ..There is a very big common area with a pool table and ample reading material with an all round leather couch and a few chairs, The views from the front of the property are to die for , breathtaking to say the leat, of the Atlantic Ocean . There is ample free parking at the rear of the building . There are a good number of places to visit in and around Eastern Passage , Fishermans Wharf being just one of them, and has the name implies, it is an actual working fishing area, with numerous gift shops, restaurants and cafes, and a musuem. All I can add is , you will not be disapointed staying at this place , I stayed for 5 weeks and during that time my friend list expanded with the addition of my fabulous host , I shall be booking a further vacation there , and so should you .

Eastern Passage is a fishing village located 20 minutes east of the bridge between Halifax and Dartmouth... Tourists may be put off by the route out of town - miles of oil refineries, hospitals and decomissioned army bases. It is worth the drive past these eyesores. At the end of the road is one of the province's most photogenic communities - and a cluster of great shops and stores selling local handicrafts and fresh seafood. 1/2 mile on the other side of "Fishermans Cove", is Mary & Albert Conrod's Eastern Passage B&B. You would not expect a 4 star B&B up the winding driveway (past a cluster of trailers and white frame houses) but an enormous amount of work has been put into earning and maintaining this rating. The B&B overlooks the outer harbour and Devil's Island. It is an easy drive / medium walk into the village. The rooms are great - clean and comfortable, with fantastic amenities like a hottub and pool table. The Conrods treat guests like family and the B&B is ideally set up for larger groups. We have been coming here from Ontario for more than 6 years and would not stay anywhere else. Highly recommended, but only if you want to experience authentic Maritime hospitality. Also, Albert's fishing charters are the reason that we come down from Toronto every summer with about a dozen of our best friends.

From the moment that I spoke with B & B owner Mary, till the moment I saw my room, I knew I was in for a special treat! Rooms were all beautiful and I felt so at home. I stayed in Room # 1 with the angels adorning and I was more than happy with the roominess and comfort! There is everything one could need there. I have been staying in B & B's for most of my traveling life and I must say, this one is a true gem!! Everything is nearby and my walk dwn to the shore was wonderful each day after breakfast.
I can't say enough about my stay there, but for those of you who enjoy a true B & B, don't miss a stay at the Passage B & B!!!

Eastern Passage B&B was extremely comfortable and Mary was a wonderful host. It really seemed like a hotel because we had our bathrooms conveniently located in each of our rooms. Beds were so comfortable and breakfast was a cereal, fruit, bacon, eggs and and probably anything else we would have requested. Mary was adequately welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. The area down the road, 'eastern passage,' was a wonderful little place to walk around and have dinner or ice cream. We were so happy we stayed in Eastern Passage rather than Halifax itself. I also recommend checking out Mary's store and her daughters' fudge, called 'fudgy chicks,' amazingly good fudge!

Our Stay at Eastern Passage B & B, Was one of our first times staying at a B&B.
I knew from the Moment that I spoke with Mary on the Phone to Book our stay that it was going to Be WONDERFUL, I was Right.
From the time that we arrived we felt very welcome. the room was cozy and warm.
they have a games room and Hot tub, fire place and t.v area with Lots of Videos.
Not far from Mary and Alberts is the Fisher mans cove Warf, that offers great little shops & fine dinning , You can even book a whale watching Tour.
Wonderful place! so much to see and do.
Mary was Amazing, such a beautiful person to talk with, she told us a lot about the History of N.S harbor. and how we could get to the places that we were interested in seeing. Very informative. Nice to have when you come from far away.we are from the Calgary Alberta area.
we spent 2 days there, by the time we packed up to leave . Mary Felt like family.
A FABULOUS experience that You can't get when you stay at a Hotel.
Breakfast at Mary's was like having Breakfast at home. She catered to all of our needs.
You Wont be Disappointed If You chose to Stay here. We loved it, and can't wait to come Back and Visit!
thanks Mary & Albert. hope to see you again soon.

This was our second stay in two years. Mary remembered us and gave us the same room as before. Travelling on a motorcycle, laundry is an important issue and Mary happily let us use her washer and dryer. It was greatly appreciated.

The room is comfortable. Had no problem getting two good nights' sleep. Internet is fast and TV selection is plentiful.

Breakfast was good. Mary asks what you want and prepares it for you. Nice to have a choice.

Conversation with Mary is always stimulating. She is a true Nova Scotian. I wished we lived closer.

Sort of out of the way, but only twenty minutes from Dartmouth and a few miles from a little seaport village where you can find plenty of fresh local seafood (cooked and not). This is a purpose-built B&B so all the amenities are there, and new and clean. The huge TV-gathering room has a billiards table, microwave and small fridge

Mary was a very warm and hospitable hostess. The bedrooms are well appointed with en suite bathrooms and everything is exceptionally clean. Very relaxed and informal with a full breakfast with a wonderful selection and eggs cooked to order. I highly recommend for anyone visiting Halifax. It is close enough to all attractions but with an amazing ocean view.

Our room was attractively decorated, the bed comfortable, and we had a lovely view of the lawn sloping down to the ocean. I always like having an ensuite bathroom and three of the bedrooms at this B and B have them. There is a small child's room that does not have it's own bathroom.
Breakfast is casual here. Mary will tell you to come up to the dining room whenever you're ready for breakfast. Once you have arrived in the dining room she will ask you what your preference is for the meal, and prepare it for you. She always had fresh fruit at the ready. In our case, delicious strawberries and blueberries.
We really enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle in this more rural setting. What a treat not to hear any traffic sounds!
Mary loves to chat, and you can learn a lot from her about the Nova Scotian way of life.
Thanks, Mary!
