Idaho Springs in a small town on I-70. It is about 9 miles from the casino mecca of Central City. There are no chain hotels in the area. All of the hotels we looked at looked about the same. We stayed here because we were close to Mount Evans and were leaving early the next morning to make it to...

We stayed here very briefly, but we would have stayed longer if we could. We had a corner room with a balcony overlooking the stream. I think this is one of the more spacious rooms. The room was very cozy, and there was a fire place! There is a common outdoor patio with tables and chairs overlooking the stream. Very...

Last room. Was told only one room without A/C and this was not it...yeah right. No A/C (not even able to run the fan), no screen on the window so couldn't leave it open, Main door had been forced open many times as the jamb was really scratched and torn around the lock. Door didn't close tight, light and noise...

Stayed here randomly. Clean, comfortable etc. Plus some rooms have views of Colorado River. We cooked up steaks on grill and enjoyed the fire pit at night with some other patrons. Ill b back. Cheap. Maybe $100. Free toothbrush, comb, and other silly things you wouldn't expect at budget place. I liked it better than $200 rooms in Breckenridge.

Stayed here for one night in a family room. There was an extra room with one queen bed. Both rooms were equally comfortable and had TVs. Nice size room for 5 people. Breakfast was ok. No hair dryer in the room. Location was really nice - a small creek behind our room. The people at the main desk keep disappearing...

If you just need a place to sleep, this place is ok. The best thing is the creek side rooms. Open the sliding glass door at night and let the sounds of the creek put you to sleep. The continental breakfast was lacking...didnt have much at all. The rooms are showing their age, but clean enough if you keep you...

The best thing about this hotel is its location. It's right on the river and you can watch mountain goats right behind the hotel. The staff are very friendly. However, the rooms are very basic, bordering on Spartan. Good for a one night stop over but not much longer.

Driving thru stopped in Idaho Springs for a room. Found Argo Inn for $105 with tax. About same as any other in area. Room was nice with fire place, ground floor with patio, rather roaring river ( dues to recent rains) was 25 feet from patio door, higher elevation so no fear of flooding. Bar B Que grill nearby some...

Came through here on way back from Vegas, Really nice little town, No chain motels all mom and pops. It was a little like going back through time, The room was ok, right on a river that people raft on, very nice views out back door. Dated but clean enough.
