This is actually only 1 cabin with an adjoining wall between 2 units: like a suite. Meaning you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors do; unfortunately, our romantic getaway coincided with a group of 4 men (against Mary's policy) staying on the other side of the wall, leaving for a conference at 7 am. and who often used the facilities around...

These cabins are great and we stayed there over Labor Day. We wanted to go back over New Years and I phoned to find out neither cabin was rented, so booked one cabin two weeks in advance of our stay. Never was a cancellation fee discussed and I never was instructed to go to the website to review the cancellation...

Area is wonderful. Modest, quiet cabin. Cabin location is off dirt access road to a West Chicago Campground but this time of year traffic was minimal. At a peak tourist time this may be noisier. Nice little stream runs between cabin and road. Makes for a very pleasant place to sit and enjoy a morning cup of coffee. The stream/creek...

If you are looking for a quiet, rustic, romantic weekend getaway, this is your place! Came here with my boyfriend and it was the cabin we remember from childhood- smell of a real wood fire as you walk in, no TV, cozy couch with blankets, peace and quiet. Pitch black at night with the sound of creek water flowing outside-...

Rented blindly but as frequent visitor to Colorado. Idaho Springs area not well known to me but I knew about what was near. Found Cabin (Call of the Canyon) on net. Mary met us upon arrival. Very gracious hostess. Made sure we knew every quirk about the cabin and we did not see her again. She was and is available...

My husband and I spent two nights early June. Mary was wonderful communicating with us prior to our arrival. She greeted us and provided all the necessary information regarding the cabin and the area. She gave us complete privacy after that. The cabin had all the amenities one could want. it was comfortable and quiet. We especially enjoyed the creek...

Going back twenty-some years I've stayed at Call of the Canyon Cabins several times. The cabins are right on West Chicago Creek and sit next to the Arapaho National Forest. Plenty of spots to relax near the stream or in the woods. It's close to attractions and great hiking. Isolated, but convenient to everything. The cabins are beautifully built with...

Mary, the host welcomed us and she got us acquainted with our cabin which was nice. The cabin had a few problems like the toilet didn't flush properly and the bathroom was very small to move around in. The cabin has no TV or land phone and our cell phone had no service. I can appreciate a relaxing vacation without...

We arrived at the cabin around 5 PM and were amazed at the beauty of the surroundings. The canyon wall above Chicago Creek was breathtaking. Mary, our gracious host welcomed us and allowed us to take it slow and get acquainted with our cabin. She offered help and was available should we need anything, but we found everything we needed...

My husband & I spent 4 days/nights this past week in one of the cabins. Although it wasn't quite what I expected, the cabin is well-equipped with pretty much everything you will need for an enjoyable visit. Mary, the owner, is very nice. I, personally, was looking for real "seclusion" from the hectic pace of life in the city, but...
