Agree with almost everything said - Bob and Sue are wonderful and welcoming. We stayed in the main house where we felt as though we were guests in their home - but as others mentioned they live downstairs and certainly do not crowd or impose themselves. Morris the cat lead us to our room and was a gem. One review...

We had a long drive from Denver and when we found this great B&B - it was a wonderful welcoming surprise! We were greeted by their 2 big friendly dogs and found a beautiful big log cabin. Our room was in the back and wonderful and fully stocked with all the necesities and a great view all around. We drove...

The only negative thing to say about this place was that it was difficult to find as it is located in the middle of nowhere but this is a plus as it is very quiet and peaceful, yet 10 minutes from Mancos,20 minutes from Cortez where we went to see the indian dancing and 20 minutes from Mese Verde National Park...

Thanks for the kind words! Yes, rural Colorado is "out in the middle of nowhere." We are only 4 mi. out of Mancos but to a visitor it will feel like 10, especially after sunset. Morris (our cat) believes it is his job to welcome lodge guests; if you love cats, he loves to be with you. If you don't...

My wife and I spent two nights here on our honeymoon. We stayed in the Log Cabin, which is a detached building off of the Main Lodge. The cabin is described as "self-cater." There's a fridge, four-burner stove with oven, full sink, coffee maker, and a full compliment of cooking utensils. You can get breakfast in the main lodge for...

Happened upon the Sundance Bear Lodge by a happy accident and had a wonderful experience. Delightful accommodations, gracious hosts, superb breakfast. Owners make sure you feel the home is "your own" and also loved Morris the cat as a nice new friend.

Thanks for the kind words and for spoiling our orange cat; he truly loves guests! Please come see us again. The 4 Corners is a great destination any time of year.

We were traveling all through the Southwest and had spent the day at Mesa Verde. We had decided to spend a night locally and drive to Moab the next day. WHAT A TREAT!! Such a beautiful place and such wonderful hosts! Sue and Bob were wonderful and we so enjoyed talking with them that we wished we had planned an...

My husband, mini Schnauzer, and I had been looking forward to our Labor Day getaway to the Durango area for several weeks. Our expectations were exceeded in every way, especially at the Sundance Bear Lodge. We wanted to spend some time at Mesa Verde as well as in the town of Durango. The location of the Sundance Bear Lodge was...

I spent a lovely night at Sundance Bear Lodge on my cross-country trip. Sue and Bob were wonerful hosts and went out of their way to make me comfortable, including me in their beautiful home. Their cat Morris entertained me. The dog Oreo kept me company. I slept deeply and woke up to the sweetest air I'd felt in years....

After 8 days bouncing around the high country on our honeymoon we spent the final night at Sundance Bear and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were welcomed by the dogs and Bob as soon as we drove up and were made to feel right at home immediately. Highly recommended Bob & Sue are tops!
