My husband and I stayed here while visiting Mesa Verde. It was very peaceful. I enjoyed how the owner's dog and cat greeted us every time we came outside. Had a fun time canoeing on the lake. At night we let the breeze blow through the screened doors and it made for a comfortable sleep. The location is a bit... More

This is a wonderful place to stay if you like peace, serenity and nature at your backdoor. We stayed in the Bungalow and couldn't get enough of the views looking out over the pond. Mornings we were serenaded with all the birds. The kitchen setup was great with everything we needed. It was also very convenient to Mesa Verde. We... More

My family just spent two nights at WillowTail Springs and we had a lovely stay. It's a great property off the beaten path. If you are okay with being on your own, away from a resort or hotel, than this is the place for you. We met Lee and he was friendly to talk with. We stayed in the garden... More

Your own pond to fish in. Fresh eggs, bread and jam in your room. Incredible hospitality by Peggy and Lee. Stay in the Bungalow or any of the places and you will love your days there. You do have to drive up a dirt road and it's not the least expensive option, yet you will just smile all day long... More

Pretty much can't say much else about Peggy and Lee's great property...see the rest of the reviews, I think you'll notice a trend. Haha. Anyway, our family of four really, really enjoyed the place. Mom, Dad, two teenagers - stayed 3 nights in the Lake House back in August. Perfect setup for us - plenty of room to relax and... More

A stay at Willowtail Springs is always a very special experience because it seems to capture the essence of Southwest Colorado, its unique beauty and tranquillity. It slows the pace and calms the mind with views of ranches, meadows, forests, and distant mountains across the clear, glassy lake and of dark mesas under purple and orange sunsets; the scent of... This place was truly a rare treasure. The lake was calming, birds chirping in the morning was delightful and the house was cozy and spacious all at once. Lee and Peggy were welcoming hosts. We really enjoyed our stay and wished we had had more time to really explore the vast grounds.

What serendipity to stay in this forest cottage by the lake by Mesa Verde! Lee and Peggy have made a warm welcome of Willowtail Springs - from the alpacas that regard you as you arrive to Beau the dog and Bear the cat. We cuddled up by the fire, listened to the rain, and read our books. We took a... More

This B & B was a highlight of our time visiting several National Parks in the area. After a long day exploring the cliff dwellings in Mesa Verde, our cabin, The Lakehouse, was such a welcome spot to "come home" to. Our kids had so much fun paddling the canoes around the little lake in front of our cottage and... More
