Our room at The Cliff House was lovely and we received a warm welcome also. It was nice to get an upgraded room with a huge Jacuzzi tub, heated toilet seat, double sinks, storage in the clean, well appointed bathroom with warm robes to curl up in front of the gas fireplace. Our room was spacious and clean decorated nicely...

We have eaten lunch and dinner here a number of times since they opened. Great selection of fresh food. Elk steak was perfect. Lunch portions are good and affordable too. Try the bison if it's offered. Eating here is a treat.

Nice job on keeping the Inn historic. Due to the time built if you do not get a suit the rooms are smaller than normal but well appointed for the size. Heated toilet seat was our favorite All staff was exceptional including turn down service. Everything felt very personalized and not generic. Thank for our nice stay

We arrived into the hotel about 8:30pm You can drive up to the door and leave the car to go in & check in, there is only valet parking at a daily price and the only other parking is by trying to find something yourself on the street Initially when we checked the staff were very friendly and upgraded us...

First time staying in this lovely historic hotel. We spent the weekend for our anniversary. Everyone was pleasant and helpful in directing us to places of interest. The food in the Dining Room and Red Mountain Lounge was terrific. The included breakfast was wonderful. We will be back.

We enjoyed our stay here. Service was very nice, and the room was also nice (heated toilet seat!). A little dated, and the new bar was unappealing so we went to a brewpub in town instead. But otherwise a pleasant stay for a night.

We recently stayed at The Cliff House to celebrate our anniversary. We booked the romance package. Every night they left us chocolate covered strawberries and a lovely red rose on the bed. The staff were the friendliest and most helpful I have experienced in the US. The hotel is lovely. It is the oldest hotel in Colorado and full of...

I decided to take my wife to this hotel as neither of us had ever been there and it was my birthday. What a pleasant surprise this was. The staff is one of the friendliest and courteous staffs I have ever met. From check in to checkout they were great. We were given the PT Barnum Suite which was very...

We were upgraded to a third floor suite. Comfortable room with a fireplace. Large bathroom with jet-tub and dual-headed+steam shower. Other than a wedding taking place, it was quiet and peaceful with very friendly staff.

The staff were great, and the room was excellent! I loved the theme and aesthetic of the whole hotel and the room itself. Completely immersive. You should go see for yourself, you will not be dissapointed.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
What makes a hotel truly special?Prestige? Romance? Luxury? As a four diamond Colorado Springs Hotel, these attributes are very important, and we have each of them in abundance, but none of them matter as much as... the stories. The stories that are started here, by brides and grooms celebrating their weddings. The stories that are commemorated here, when couples choose us for their anniversaries. The stories that are shared here, when family vacations become unforgettable memories. Our stories really do matter: they define who we are. You see, as the premier historic hotel of the Greater Colorado Springs area, our history is forever intertwined with what we are today. In fact, The Cliff House is older than the State of Colorado itself! And just like your story, we have had our ups and downs: we have played host to famous dignitaries, and we have been a barracks for soldiers. Later floods and fires have even threatened our hotel's very existence. But, just like you, we've persevered. After our extensive remodel and grand re-opening in 1999, we quickly proved that The Cliff House is once again one of Colorado's finest luxury hotels. Nestled at the foot of majestic Pikes Peak, we've managed to keep all the trappings of Victorian elegance and luxury and also become a leader in innovative room features with state-of-the-art technology. Since 2001, we've consecutively received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award for both the hotel and our dining room. Our dining room has also received the DiRoNa Award, and Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence, every year. From our world-class fine dining, our amazing rooms, personalized service, our fun new bar and grill, to the limitless experiences and activities Manitou Springs has to offer: we are confident that you will love your stay here... and what a story you'll have to tell! We're proud of our history. Come share yours with us! We're within ten minutes of downtown Colorado Springs, but (rest assured) a world away! ... more   less
