I love the Cliff House! Just had to get that out of the way. We have stayed here twice in the last seven years. This last time, we splurged and booked a nicer room. When we arrived, the hotel had upgraded us to a suite! Extremely nice room in a quiet part of the hotel. I don't think they knew...

We did not stay at the hotel but had dinner there. The setting is elegant, the service is superb and the food was as good as I have had anywhere. The hotel looked very inviting and the location was excellent yet also far enough away from the main street to be quiet and peaceful.

The entire family (2 adults and 3 girls 7, 10 and 14) stayed at the Cliff House this summer (2015) and it was beautiful. The second oldest hotel in Colorado is a quaint spot just outside of Colorado Springs. It is incredibly close to many sites including the Cave of the Winds, Pikes Peak, The Incline, Manitou Cliff Dwellings and...

A great place for visitors seeking old style quality with modern touches. Bed and breakfast on a large scale. Location is excellent, rooms are charming, staff is attentive and seems motivated to please. Many little details better than most inns. Only gripe is a daily charge of $9.00 for services that are part of any hotel stay.

Wonderful old hotel. Off the beaten path, but walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, and arcade in Manitou Springs. Very attentive staff, most seemed genuinely concerned about the guests. Some smiles did seem a little forced. Very good buffet breakfast included along with good wi-fi. If you are tall, you probably don't want one of the rooms on the...

From the first contact to leaving, this hotel delivered excellent service. Well thought out room with a fridge, safe, two suitcase racks, even somewhere in the bathroom to put both bags of toiletries, coffee machine that made 2 cups at the same time, lovely quality dressing gowns. I know that these are small things but so many hotels do not...

Just 15 miles west of downtown colorado spings but a totally different vibe. Very hip Cliff house was perfect for our first vaca without kids since 1998 !...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
What makes a hotel truly special?Prestige? Romance? Luxury? As a four diamond Colorado Springs Hotel, these attributes are very important, and we have each of them in abundance, but none of them matter as much as... the stories. The stories that are started here, by brides and grooms celebrating their weddings. The stories that are commemorated here, when couples choose us for their anniversaries. The stories that are shared here, when family vacations become unforgettable memories. Our stories really do matter: they define who we are. You see, as the premier historic hotel of the Greater Colorado Springs area, our history is forever intertwined with what we are today. In fact, The Cliff House is older than the State of Colorado itself! And just like your story, we have had our ups and downs: we have played host to famous dignitaries, and we have been a barracks for soldiers. Later floods and fires have even threatened our hotel's very existence. But, just like you, we've persevered. After our extensive remodel and grand re-opening in 1999, we quickly proved that The Cliff House is once again one of Colorado's finest luxury hotels. Nestled at the foot of majestic Pikes Peak, we've managed to keep all the trappings of Victorian elegance and luxury and also become a leader in innovative room features with state-of-the-art technology. Since 2001, we've consecutively received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award for both the hotel and our dining room. Our dining room has also received the DiRoNa Award, and Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence, every year. From our world-class fine dining, our amazing rooms, personalized service, our fun new bar and grill, to the limitless experiences and activities Manitou Springs has to offer: we are confident that you will love your stay here... and what a story you'll have to tell! We're proud of our history. Come share yours with us! We're within ten minutes of downtown Colorado Springs, but (rest assured) a world away! ... more   less
