This hotel has been beautifully restored, with modern conveniences, however preserving grand furnishings reflecting it's Victorian past! Relaxing and cozy atmosphere after a long drive. Features pleasant common areas, where groups can be together and socialize. The hotel offers an excellent free wi-fi connection as well.

I arrived late in the evening, but the hosts were exceptionally accommodating and it's hard to beat the price for this area. I stayed in a single room, number 7. Everything was clean and neat. There were two nitpicks I have. The first is that my mattress was pretty lumpy. It seemed to have a hump in the middle which...

We spent nearly a week at this little gem of a B&B/hostel, and simply loved it. The furnishings are quaint period pieces, it was very clean and restful, and was priced wonderfully! The drive to Telluride is less than 30 minutes on a great highway. We also took day-trips up the Million Dollar Highway, took the Silverton-Durango steam train (a...

The "best room in the house" (room 4) is priced ok at $85 but has several flaws that you don't expect at that price point. It doesn't have it's own cooling system so your option is to leave the windows open. You would expect this to be a wonderful option in the San Juan mountains at 8000 feet. However, the...

Stayed one night at this hotel/hostel. Had Room #2, downstairs, that has a door to the shared bathroom. Queen bed. Old place, super tall ceilings, tons of character. Various other rooms available with a shared bathroom upstairs. Owner is very friendly! Fun to stay in a tiny little town on our way to Telluride. Paid $75 plus tax and were...

Unique old place in a funky little town. Although the interior and bedding are a bit dated (outdated..) some of the decor and finishes are still appropriate for the age of the inn. Interestingly most rooms share common bathrooms, wasn't exactly expecting that, but it was no problem since there wasn't too many of us sharing. The bedding was average...

The bedding is new and the beds made in all the rooms except the bunk room. If you are staying in the hostel dorm for $25 you have to make your own bed but sheets and towels are provided . If the beds in there are premade people mess up beds they didn't pay for.

This beautifully restored Victorian hotel is very clean, with attractive decor and comfortable bedding and bath facilities. It's very conveniently-located for an early start traveling into Telluride, and it's much less expensive than options within Telluride and Mountain Village.

We had found the Mine Shaft on the internet and wanted to spend the night but weren't able due to our travel time. But on our way through town we decided to stop and look at the hotel. Olen and his new assistant were so friendly and welcoming. They gave us a tour of the hotel and told us about...

As noted, a historic location. $70 for a lovely room, wifi, dish tv, but mostly just kick back relaxation in a lovely venue. Ready for the road tomorrow. Clean, well kept. bonus, the local AA meeting is held here on Thursday nights for any Friends of Bill passing through.

I'm not giving this bed and breakfast four stars because it's four-star luxury resort, but because it was very comfortable, clean and the owner was very friendly. We stayed in the upstairs queen with private bath. This is the best room option available, but there are very nice alternatives at a lower cost. Poncho, the owner, gave us a brief...
