Can't describe the experience. You really have to be there to understand what the mountains are like. Not anyplace like it anywhere. We enjoyed a nice, peaceful walk up and carried down unforgettable images of waterfalls and views indescribable by picture. Go here.

We spent 5 nights in the Elk Ridge section of the campground. The sites are large and spread well apart so you aren't on top of your neighbors and you have lots of privacy. There were lots of nice hiking trails and it is close...More

We spent a week in the full hookup section (Pa Co Chu Puk) and 3 nights in the Elk Ridge section which is electric only. Both were very nice, but the views from up on Elk Ridge were awesome! This state park has so many...More

This is a state park. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Reasonably priced showers. Good experience. Campsites big enough and spaced far enough apart to be comfortable. Grandchildren had a great (and successful) fishing experience.

The park is in a beautiful setting. The campsites have enough room between themn that you are mostly unaware of your neighbors. The campground hosts and the rangers were annoying. My very old dog can hardly walk but the host would walk into our campsite...More
