The Amigo Motor Lodge is a newly-renovated, 60 year-old motel. Modern furnishings meet minimalist design to create a space that is friendly, casual, and (above all) comfortable. The property is complete with a teepee, hot tub, sun room/lounge and now we are renting fully renovated Airstream trailers.

My parents, me and my two kids recently stayed at the Amigo Motor lodge in between two days of skiing on monarch mountain. I found the hotel on instagram and was so excited to stay here! It did not disappoint! Check in was super quick and easy!! Our two king rooms were adorable

First of all - I was really excited to stay at Amigo. The positives - the decor and general vibe of the place was very hipster-friendly, which is initially what drew me to the place. Good coffee, lots of 'gram-worthy shared spaces, comfy beds, clean, and excellent branding.

Hey Catche. Apologies for the issues with the key, we had just had tons of key copies made and there must have been a mixup or bad copies made. We have a very small staff (especially in the Winter) and we all wear a lot of hats. That means that sometimes lobby staff is doing laundry, running things to rooms, filling snack baskets, etc. Also, you'll be very happy to know that our in-room soaps, shampoos, conditioners and lotions are actually Malin & Goetz. We do this because we can offer a great product with less waste - no one likes trying to open tiny soap packages with wet hands in the shower.

We were really disappointed with our most recent stay at Amigo Motor Lodge. The cleanliness, customer service, and accommodations have dramatically declined since we first stayed at Amigo in December 2016. The owners invested in some nice items for the rooms, lobby, etc., but

Followed up with an email to the customer, but in the spirit of transparency, we thought we would post our full response here. TLDR: it's always heartbreaking to hear a review like this from a repeat customer. We are generally very responsive on email and have not seen any emails from you. The hot tub was broken with a leaking, corroded pump that has since been replaced. We just aren't able to properly staff the place over holidays like Christmas, so we will be closing for several days next year to allow for downtime. My wife and I were gone for the week so things like leaf blowing fell by the wayside. Hey Erin, saw your review online and just thought we would follow up as you mentioned you had sent us an email. Not sure what address you were using, but this is our general inbox that we monitor closely. Anyway, always sad to see a bad review from a repeat customer and wanted to let you know we are sorry about the issues you experienced during your stay. We wanted to hopefully explain some of the short comings during your stay, but we totally understand it doesn't fix your stay. My wife and I were out of the state for Christmas week and we had our two senior full time staff gone for the holiday, so we were unfortunately very understaffed during a fairly busy holiday week. Next year we are going to block off more time around the holiday to allow for every employee to have time off and not run into under-staffing issues. It's just very hard to provide good service during a major holiday like that with our size. As for the hot tub, we recently replaced a leaking and badly corroded pump that was a source of low water and poor PH levels. Staff noted the water issues and I told them to close and lock the hot tub as there was nothing I could do from 1000 miles away with the hot tub store was also closed for the holiday week. Our hot tub sees a lot of use and it's tricky to manage. Finally, regarding leaves: we understand your ire as they are often the bane of our existence in our very windy valley. With me gone for 6 days and our short staff, it's something that was overlooked. It's a constant roller coaster running a small motel in a small town and sometimes we fall behind. Your review will help us kick into gear and get some more systems in place so that we can better handle busy seasons. Hope you have a nice week and feel free to respond with other questions and comments you might have. - Philip

We had two nights in a double queen room. First impressions - very cool and stylishly designed. Spacious and comfortable. If minimal is not your thing, you won’t like Amigo but we really liked the simplicity of design and the quirky, humorous touches in the room and common

I'm not a fan of motor lodges but this place makes the mark. Nice size rooms for a dog friendly motor lodge and fun amenities including good coffee (not talking a gas station brew here) morning fruit and yogurt. This place is really clean with fun quirky stuff all over the

The room I was in did not have an accessible bathtub/shower. The sink was accessible, but I don't know if there is sufficient turning radius. I'd give the owners a call - they may have other rooms more accessible than the one I was in.
